A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Tanzania Team 🇹🇿

As we wrap up the Kisarawe Project, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank the incredible individuals who made this journey smooth, impactful, and truly memorable.

A special appreciation to Ayubu Bendera (Local Project Leader – Phase I & II), Hashimu Omary, and Sia Felix (Project Support Assistants) for your dedication, teamwork, and commitment throughout the implementation of this project. Your efforts helped bring this vision to life.

This project reminded us that humanitarian work is not only about service — it is also about learning, growth, and connection. Through this journey, we gained valuable lessons, built meaningful relationships, and had the opportunity to network with inspiring leaders working toward positive change in their communities.

Every project teaches us something new, and that is one of the most beautiful parts of humanitarian work.

Thank you for making the Kisarawe Project in Tanzania a meaningful experience. Until we meet again through another project — we remain grateful. 💙❤️

📚 No Child Should Miss an Exam Because of a Pen

We are proud to share the Final Project Report 2026 of our Kisarawe Education Support Project in Tanzania 🇹🇿

Between April and May 2026, Lema Plan International provided essential educational materials to students and teachers across 5 primary schools in Kisarawe District, helping improve access to notebooks, pens, erasers, sharpeners, chalk, and other learning tools that support classroom participation and educational dignity.

Despite heavy rains and logistical challenges, every targeted school was successfully reached — because every child deserves the opportunity to learn with dignity.

This project reminded us of a simple but powerful truth:

A small tool can make a big difference in a child’s education.

Sometimes, Volunteering Changes You Too

Meet John Watosha Maganga, an Information Technology graduate who chose to use his skills to support vulnerable children through education in Tanzania.

Despite heavy rains, difficult roads, and long journeys to remote schools, John remained committed to one mission: helping children gain access to the basic school materials they need to learn with dignity.

This experience became more than volunteering — it became a journey of service, resilience, and impact.

Sometimes, helping others changes us too. 💙

Gumba Primary School was our last stop of the day, and we arrived in the afternoon to complete the distribution of learning materials.

The children were very excited to see us from Lema Plan International. You could genuinely feel their joy knowing that the support had finally reached their school.

Parents also shared very positive feedback. Many expressed relief, saying this support has lifted a major burden as they no longer struggle to provide basic school supplies for their children.

At Gumba Primary School, we distributed:

29 cartons and 13 packs of exercise books

6 boxes of erasers and sharpeners

25 boxes of pens

We also emphasized the importance of proper stocking and careful use of the materials, as we have now successfully completed the Kisarawe Support Program 2025–2026. This marks an important milestone as we prepare for our Annual Report 2025, highlighting the impact and progress made throughout the year.

We extend our sincere thanks to all our mission supporters who made this initiative successful and possible.

It was a meaningful way to close this chapter, seeing the direct impact this support will have on both students and their families.

Chalé School – Distribution of Learning Materials (March 29)

On March 29, Lema Plan International successfully carried out the distribution of learning materials at Chalé School. The children were filled with joy as they welcomed the team, excited to receive much-needed school supplies and support.

Each school, including Chalé, received 29 cartons and 13 packs of exercise books, 6 boxes of erasers and sharpeners, and 25 boxes of pens. This initiative has significantly eased the burden on families, who will no longer struggle to provide basic school supplies. The feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the real impact of this support on their daily lives.

We are deeply grateful to our anonymous mission partner whose generous and bold donation made a meaningful difference in supporting five schools in Tanzania. Though they chose to remain unnamed, their kindness has transformed learning conditions for many children, and words cannot fully express our appreciation for their invaluable contribution.

🌍 Rain, mud, long roads… and still, learning continues 🇹🇿

What would you do if reaching a classroom meant pushing through heavy rain and nearly impassable roads?

This April, we kept going.

💙 At Gumba Primary School in Kisarawe District, supplies were delivered safely — despite the weather — reaching nearly 700 students who needed them.

More than a delivery, it was a moment of connection: working side by side with students and teachers, reinforcing the importance of education and ensuring they have the tools to keep learning.

🎒 What arrived in their classrooms:
• 27 cartons of exercise books
• 24 boxes of pens
• 6 cartons of sharpeners
• 6 cartons of erasers
• 1 box of chalk

📊 What’s happening now, in real time:
• Students are writing in their own notebooks — no more sharing, no more waiting
• Teachers are teaching with fewer interruptions and more flow
• Classrooms feel more organized, focused, and ready to learn
• Motivation and attendance are already improving

This is impact you can see — already unfolding.

🚧 The journey continues.
Some schools are still out of reach due to the heavy rains, but we’ll return as soon as conditions improve — because every child deserves the same opportunity.

📦 We’ve also identified around 80 cartons of remaining supplies, now being carefully reallocated to ensure every planned school receives support.

So here’s something to think about:

💬 Would you show up — even in the rain?

Because real change doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
It keeps moving, school by school.

🌍✨ Education in Action – Tanzania 🇹🇿

As part of our April mission, our team continued working toward making education accessible for every child. Despite difficult weather conditions, we successfully reached Visegese Primary School – Kazimzumbwi, supporting hundreds of students with essential learning materials 💙

🎒 What we delivered:

27 cartons of exercise books

24 boxes of pens

6 cartons of sharpeners

6 cartons of erasers

1 box of chalk

These are simple items—but their impact is profound.

💬 Why this campaign matters
No child should miss school because they don’t have a pen. Something so small can become a barrier to learning, confidence, and participation. Education isn’t only about classrooms and teachers—it’s also about access to the basic tools that make learning possible.

📦 Why stocking matters
In regions like rural Tanzania, access isn’t always predictable. Weather, road conditions, and logistics can delay return visits. That’s why maintaining adequate stock is essential—it ensures continuity, so students are not left waiting when support cannot immediately return.

🚧 Looking ahead
Some areas remain temporarily unreachable due to heavy rains, but the mission continues. Every resource is being carefully managed to make sure no support goes to waste and every child gets their chance to learn.

💙 Step by step, we move closer to a world where access to education is not a privilege—but a right.

👉 Join us. Support the mission. Be part of the change.
