for specialized clinicians and research scientists. Our core activities are medical courses on various levels and multinational symposia, scholarship programs, and research projects focusing on:

What a fantastic two days at the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 & 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 course in Abu Dhabi!

A particular highlight was the excellent level of discussion, especially around approaches to the elbow and clavicle treatment. The international faculty brought together a wealth of expertise and perspectives, creating an outstanding environment for knowledge exchange, clinical discussion, and shared learning.

It was a pleasure to be part of this course in Abu Dhabi for the first time.

A huge thank you to Mr. Andrew White and Dr. Saif Alduhoori, our course chairs, for putting together such an excellent format, and to the outstanding international faculty and all participants for their valuable contributions and engaging discussions throughout the course.

Join us in Muscat, Oman, for the IBRA Advanced Course: 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐧-𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚 on October 23–24, 2026.

Following the success of last year’s course, we are pleased to return to Oman in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and the Oman Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

This two-day advanced course offers a comprehensive look at the diagnosis and management of complex panfacial injuries, combining expert lectures, case discussions, and hands-on anatomical exercises.

The program will cover key topics including frontal sinus, orbital, nasoethmoidal, zygomaticomaxillary, and mandibular fractures, with a particular focus on treatment sequencing, surgical approaches, and the role of virtual surgical planning and digital navigation in complex reconstruction.

Led by an internationally renowned faculty, participants will gain practical insights and surgical pearls that can be directly applied to daily clinical practice. The hands-on laboratory session will provide an opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practical surgical skills under expert guidance.

A place to practise, a space to ask questions and opportunity to learn.

This week we welcomed students from YSSA Zürich and YSSA Basel to explore this environment for themselves.

With access to our lab and the tools and implants for hands-on sawbone training, they could put their knowledge to work and get a closer look at the facilities that support surgical education.

Opening these doors to students is an important part of what we do. We want aspiring surgeons to feel welcome in a community that encourages questions, shares experience and supports learning throughout their careers.

Der 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐤𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐤 bot zwei intensive Tage mit spannenden Diskussionen und praxisnahem Austausch.

Im Fokus standen verschiedene Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, von Denervation und PRC über Teil und Panarthrodesen bis hin zur Arthroplastik. Kontroverse Fragen wie Pro oder Contra Arthroplastik am Handgelenk wurden offen diskutiert.

Besonders bereichernd war der Austausch unter den erfahrenen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern. Im Mittelpunkt standen unterschiedliche Behandlungsansätze, deren Indikationen sowie praktische Tipps und mögliche Pitfalls.
