92 years. Countless women louder because she refused to stay quiet. 🤍

In memory of Gloria Steinem, feminist icon, writer, activist and one of the defining voices for women’s equality.

Watching this conversation with Jennifer Aniston at hits differently today. Two generations. One conversation. And a reminder that progress happens when women use their voice and make space for other women to use theirs.

Gloria didn’t just speak about equality.
She helped generations of women expect it, demand it and build it.

Her voice may be gone. Her impact is not.

May we keep questioning.

Her courage changed possibilities.
Her legacy changed generations.

THEY QUESTIONED HER POWER.
THE WORLD FELT HER INFLUENCE. ♥️

29 years without Princess Diana and still, few have shown so clearly that power doesn’t need to be loud to change the world.

There’s no list long enough to describe the loss of Dolly Parton and her contributions to American culture and campaign for literacy.

A talented and prolific songwriter, she did cover songs of others, including one by Geroge Gershwin, „Love is Here to Stay.“ At 76, she sang a duet with Michael Feinstein on his 2022 Gershwin Country album.

Did Parton ever cover any songs from Porgy and Bess?

No.

However she did appear for an audition for the role of Bess in a skit with Oprah, as seen in this video!

What’s interesting is that in reality Anne Brown, the protagonist of my historical novel, Gershwin’s Bess, wasn’t told she was too young (Bess is young.), but that she was too light-skinned and had to apply dark make-up for the stage.

RIP, Dolly Parton. Thank you.

The news is confirmed: Yayoi Kusama has died at 97.

She didn’t just create art.
She made infinity feel possible. 🔴🟡⚫️

Today, we remember Yayoi Kusama — artist, visionary, rule-breaker, and one of the most unmistakable creative forces of our time.

For more than seven decades, she turned dots, repetition, colour and imagination into worlds of their own inviting millions of us to step inside and see reality differently.

But perhaps her greatest legacy goes beyond what hangs in museums.

Kusama showed us what creativity can be:
a language, a refuge, a rebellion — and a way to transform what lives inside us into something that can touch the world.

She never tried to fit in.
She created a universe where she belonged.

And in doing so, gave generations permission to imagine bigger, go further and create without asking for permission.

The Moment Julia Roberts Thanked Dolly Parton ♥️

Gratitude.

One of the most beautiful moments from the Steel Magnolias press tour wasn’t on screen-it happened during an interview.
While talking about the experience of making the film, Julia Roberts took a moment to express her admiration for Dolly Parton. There was nothing rehearsed about it. Just genuine appreciation for someone whose kindness and generosity had clearly left an impression.

By 1989, Julia’s career was already taking off, but moments like this remind us why audiences connected with her long before she became Hollywood’s biggest star. She never seemed afraid to acknowledge the people who inspired her.

Sometimes the most memorable stories from classic films aren’t found in the scenes themselves. They’re hidden in small conversations that reveal the respect, warmth, and gratitude shared behind the camera.

Today, we say goodbye to a woman who showed generations of us what it means to own your voice, know your worth and never make yourself smaller to fit into someone else’s expectations.

Dolly Parton built more than an extraordinary career. She built bridges. She gave back. She lifted others. And through it all, she remained unapologetically, joyfully herself.
