Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children, yet many parents and caregivers remain unaware of its early warning signs.

Typical symptoms include a high fever lasting 5+ days, red eyes, red or cracked lips, rash, and swollen hands or feet. These signs may appear gradually, and the cause remains unknown. Since these symptoms may look similar to other paediatric inflammatory conditions, early recognition is essential to ensure children receive timely diagnosis.
