Today, the World Scout Centre was proud to participate in the launch of the Global Alliance for Human Rights alongside our long standing partner, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. 🌎🙌🏼

At KISC, young people from around the world come together to learn, grow, and lead. We believe that human rights must be more than principles, they must be experienced in everyday life.

During the launch, we highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between non-formal and formal education to create more spaces for young people to develop the knowledge, skills, and values needed to build inclusive and respectful communities.

We look forward to contributing to this shared effort and advancing human rights through education and youth engagement. ✨

And just like that, Spring is gone 🥲💐

After 3 months filled with Work Parties, deep cleaning and loads of flowers is finally time to say goodbye to this incredible season.

In Spring we welcomed 12 amazing Short Term Staff from all over the world (🇪🇸🇵🇹🇲🇽🇧🇷🇺🇸🇮🇪🇲🇾🇩🇪🇦🇺🇬🇧), held our General Assembly, got a brand new Committee, got new Staff accommodation, welcomed the ESR and WOSM, hosted 9 Work Parties and had sooo much fun!

Thank you to everyone that made this Spring such a wonderful one! We are going to miss you 🌷

Looking for a new challenge at KISC? 👀

Our new Advanced Abseiling activity gives groups the chance to experience a 25-metre abseil with incredible views over Kandersteg. It’s a fun and rewarding way to build confidence, resilience, balance, and teamwork all with the support of an experienced external guide.

This activity is recommended for groups with basic climbing experience. If you’re new to abseiling, we suggest starting with our Beginners Abseiling activity first 🧗⛰️

Today, 103 years ago, KISC was opened 🥳💫

There’s something special about a place that changes with time, yet somehow still feels the same. The mountains stay, stories grow, and generations of Scouts and Staff continue to leave their mark on this little corner of the world.

For so many people, KISC has been adventure, challenge, friendship, laughter, late nights, early mornings, and memories that somehow stay with you long after you leave. 🩵

Happy Birthday KISC. Here’s to the memories, the magic, and the feeling of home away from home ⛰️✨

What a day! 🥳

Today, in the second day of our General Assembly, we elected a new Committee, approved exciting developments for our membership programme and reflected on all the achievements of the past two years.

It was a lovely day to showcase that KISC is truly a centre run by volunteers, by you. 🎉
