Welcome to the Permanent Mini Jamboree, the dream of Lord Baden-Powell.

Close to nature and away from the distractions of everyday life, you’ll find nowhere else quite like Kandersteg. From summer camps and ski trips to family holidays and special events, we welcome over 12,000 guests a year from more than 50 different countries. We have 4 different buildings across 17 hectares of land, with over 350 beds in our indoor accommodation and room for more than 1,200 people on our campsite.

1,857 Scouts and Guides from 49 countries with one shared goal: to celebrate purpose! 🌍💙

August 1st at KISC brought together the Permanent Mini Jamboree, Swiss National Day and World Scarf Day for a day full of celebration, connection and plenty of Pinkie magic. From the village ceremony and parade to shows, activities, the Global Goals Tent and a campfire under the stars, the day was a reminder of what Scouting is all about: community, friendship and turning purpose into action.

Because when young people come together, three minutes can be enough to start something that lasts much longer. ✨

Yesterday we spent Swiss National Day and Scouts Scarf Day with 1857 Scouts from 49 different countries celebrating purpose by doing what we do best, bringing people together. 🌍

To our guests, partners, staff and everyone who spent the day making memories, learning, connecting across cultures, and spreading the magic of KISC, thank you for giving meaning to everything we do. 🏔️🩷

That's a wrap! International Rover Week of Summer 2026 has officially come to an end.

It was a week filled with the best of our programme, meaningful friendships, memories, and valuable learnings on peace education, made possible with the support of KAICIID and World Scouting 🕊️

This event empowers Rovers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become agents of change in their communities, aiming to build a more peaceful world.
