Real solutions, not to***co industry narratives.

“Harm reduction” marketing, CSR, ESG, EPR, and greenwashing must not be used to give the to***co industry legitimacy, access or influence.

More than 70 youth organizations and coalitions covering over 135 countries are standing together for strong action. Different contexts. Common youth demands.

Add your voice, share the Open Letter, and help carry these demands toward COP12.

Hi You(th)! Every year the to***co industry finds a new way to reach us. We’re done being treated like an opportunity instead of people with a future to protect.

We’re demanding accountability: stop the pipeline to addiction, protect policy from industry interference, and put our future first.

Young people should not be treated as a market for addiction.

Global Youth Voices calls on governments to ban all existing and emerging addictive to***co and ni****ne products. There is no such thing as ‘safe addiction,’ and no justification for allowing the industry to recruit a new generation of customers.

A generation free from ni****ne addiction is possible.

Protect policy. Protect our future. Make the to***co industry pay.

Governments must apply WHO FCTC Article 5.3 and keep the to***co industry and those furthering its interests out of public health decision-making.

They must also hold the industry financially and legally liable for the health, environmental and economic harms it causes, including through the polluter-pays principle.

Public health decisions must serve people—not industry profit.

This International Youth Day, young people are united behind a future free from to***co and ni****ne addiction, industry interference and preventable harm.

We call on governments and international institutions to:

• protect young people;

• protect public health policy;

• keep the WHO review of ni****ne independent; and

• make the to***co industry pay.

Our future is not their market.
