The situation in Bangladesh reflects a broader pattern of religious persecution affecting all minorities, not just Hindus. Reports highlight institutional bias, lack of legal protection, and increasing extremist violence, raising concerns about human rights violations and regional instability.

This isn’t just a religious issue—it’s about fundamental rights, safety, and dignity ✊. Without global intervention 🌍, these communities risk further marginalization or even displacement. The world cannot remain silent in the face of rising intolerance 🚫.

📢 PROTEST FOR HUMAN RIGHTS IN BANGLADESH!

On March 13, 2025, Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) organized a protest at the UN in Geneva to demand justice for persecuted minorities in Bangladesh. 🚨 Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian communities, along with Indigenous groups, continue to face systematic violence, discrimination, and repression.

We call on the international community to take action NOW:
⚖️ Hold perpetrators accountable
📢 End religious and ethnic persecution
🏛️ Establish a permanent UN human rights office in Bangladesh
🆘 Release arbitrarily detained activists like Chinmoy Prabhu Das

Silence is complicity! Share this post & stand with us in the fight for justice. ✊

📢 Growing Islamist Influence in Bangladesh

From women’s football to book fairs, hardline Islamist groups are pushing for stricter religious adherence, threatening public freedoms and women’s rights.

⚽ Football Matches Cancelled – Islamist protests stop girls like Asha Roy & Tara Moni from playing.
📚 Attack on Book Fair – A stall vandalized for selling a book by exiled feminist Taslima Nasrin.
🎭 Celebrities Targeted – Stars like Pori Moni face intimidation over public appearances.
🕌 Sufi Shrines Attacked – Over 100 sites damaged as extremists brand Sufism heretical.
⚠️ Political Instability & Islamist Resurgence – Unrest fuels extremist influence.

🔴 Fear is growing, but so is resistance. Will Bangladesh stand against rising extremism?

📰 Justice for Religious Minorities in Bangladesh! ⚖️

Religious minorities in Bangladesh are facing brutal violence, arson, and targeted attacks—and the world is watching in silence. A UN report has acknowledged the crisis, but it fails to capture the full extent of human rights violations. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council is demanding justice, accountability, and protection for vulnerable communities.

🔹 What’s happening?
📌 Targeted attacks on Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Ahmadiyya Muslims & indigenous groups
🏚 Arson & assaults on homes, temples, churches, and shrines
❌ State inaction & impunity allowing these crimes to continue

🔹 What needs to be done?
✅ Revoke the “impunity order” protecting perpetrators
✅ Launch an independent, transparent investigation
✅ Hold criminals accountable—justice must prevail!

✊ We cannot stay silent. Stand up for human rights, share this post, and demand justice! 🗣️

It’s heartbreaking to witness the rise of hatred and violence in Bangladesh. Yesterday, the house of the founder of this nation was burned, a tragic reminder of the deep divisions in the society. Under the leadership of Muhamed Yonous, we continue to see these acts of disrespect and destruction. We must stand united against hate and protect the values that define this nation. Let’s come together for a peaceful Bangladesh. 🇧🇩

🚨 Persecution of Minorities in Bangladesh 🚨

BJP MP Jagannath Sarkar has raised alarm over the escalating threats against Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh. The violence against the minority community has intensified since August 2024, with attacks on homes, businesses, and temples.

In response, an open letter to Prime Minister Modi urges decisive action to protect these vulnerable communities, calling on India to take responsibility and secure the safety of its people. The letter also stresses the importance of international pressure and fair elections in Bangladesh to restore peace.

It’s time for action! Let’s raise our voices and stand together for human rights, peace, and justice.
