Health Education for All is about making health information more understandable, practical, and accessible for children and young people.

Too often, health messages are available but not truly usable.

This project responds to that gap through workshops and clear health education materials that help young people build everyday skills, make informed choices, and better understand their health.

🤝 In its statement at the WHO Executive Board 158, the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation highlighted its close collaboration with the Alliance for Health Promotion in linking youth and health professionals to build a continuous chain of health promotion from policy to community action, and stressed that a whole of government and whole of society approach must also be a whole of profession approach, fully engaging pharmacists and pharmacy students.

🌍 Through its partnership with A4HP, IPSF called on Member States and the World Health Organization to better recognise and mobilise the pharmacy workforce to advance health and wellbeing for all.

The statement was delivered by Julian Ryan Tan, A4HP Board Member and IPSF Chairperson of External Relations.

📍 In its statement at the WHO Executive Board 158, the Alliance for Health Promotion stressed that, despite the legacy of the Ottawa Charter, health promotion is still largely underfunded and not yet fully embedded across health systems and wider public policies.

The Alliance therefore called on Member States and the World Health Organization to initiate a clear global process towards a health promotion treaty to better translate the right to health into concrete action at the community level and to create more equitable health systems.

🎉 It has kicked off!
The 158th Executive Board meeting of the World Health Assembly is taking place this week (2–7 February).
🌍 Convened by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Executive Board brings together experts from 34 Member States to guide WHO’s work and help shape global health priorities between World Health Assembly sessions.
Can also mention here any statement that the Alliance will be giving during the session.

💪 Strengthening rehabilitation in health systems
Progress and results on strengthening rehabilitation in health systems, including its integration into preparedness for and response to health emergencies.

🌱 Well-being and health promotion
Progress on the implementation of WHA75.19 (2022) and decision WHA76(22) (2023), including recommendations from the Strategic Technical Advisory Group on Health Promotion, Well-being and Social Determinants of Health, related policy pathways and findings on well-being measurement.

🤝 Outcome of the WHO Commission on Social Connection
Progress on promoting social connection as a global public health priority and addressing loneliness and social isolation.

🪶 Global plan of action for the health of Indigenous Peoples
Updates on the development of the global plan of action for the health of Indigenous Peoples.

Progress towards the 2030 global nutrition targets and implementation of key nutrition policies and standards.
