At this week's Network of African National Human Rights Institutions - NANHRI Biennial Conference in Yaoundé, GANHRI Chairperson Amina Bouayach emphasized the critical role of African in operationalizing commitments amid growing political, economic, and social challenges across the continent.

She called for strengthened institutional capacity and independence to enable NHRIs to serve as credible bridges between states, , and rights holders, transforming international obligations into tangible protections.

UN Women is hosting the Global Multi-Stakeholder Hearing for tomorrow, Friday 30 January from 10am to1pm EST at United Nations Headquarters in New York, with virtual participation available.

This hearing provides a platform for Member States, , , academia, and the private sector to exchange perspectives and experiences from local, regional, and global contexts. It aims to identify actionable solutions to accelerate progress on ahead of CSW70.
