FIT (Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs/International Federation of Translators) is an international grouping of associations of translators, interpreters and terminologists. More than 120 professional associations are affiliated, representing over 80 000 translators in 60 countries. The goal of the Federation is to promote professionalism in the disciplines it represents. It seeks constantly to improve conditions for the profession in all countries and to uphold translators' rights and freedom of expression.

Through this link, each member association must complete the process and indicate whether it will:
✓ Attend the General Meeting
✓ Assign a proxy to another FIT member
✓ Notify FIT that it will not participate

📅 Deadline to register or assign a proxy: 15 September 2026.

Please remember that the link is personalised for each association, so make sure to use the one received directly by email.

The email will also provide information on how nominated contact persons can access the General Meeting documents in the members-only section of the FIT website.

How can crisis communication better serve multi-ethnic communities, low-resource languages and Indigenous worldviews?
