🇲🇾🤝🇩🇪 Engaging stakeholders in Germany: Meeting with Malaysia’s Consul General in Frankfurt

Global Bersih President Nirmala Devi Windgaetter met with YM Engku Puteri Suraya Engku Mohd Afandi, Consul General of Malaysia in Frankfurt, to discuss key issues affecting the Malaysian diaspora in Germany.

The meeting was joined by Marianne Low, who represents the Malaysian community in Hamburg and is also the admin of the Malaysians in Germany Facebook community page. Marianne shared updates on the vibrant activities and community-building efforts among Malaysians in Hamburg, and highlighted how the page helps connect Malaysians across Germany with timely information, support, and local updates.

Nirmala provided an update on the current progress of Global Bersih’s overseas postal voting proposals and discussed how consular offices can play an important role in supporting and strengthening the overseas voting process, so that Malaysians abroad can participate more effectively and with greater confidence.
