🇰🇪 18 newly certified UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) TrainForTrade instructors in Kenya! 🎓
What a fantastic week in Watamu! We have just concluded our Coaching Workshop, with 18 senior port managers successfully certified as UNCTAD TrainForTrade instructors, ready to support the delivery of Kenya's very first cycle of the Modern Port Management Programme. ⚓️
It has been an incredibly dynamic and interactive week, filled with group activities, role-playing exercises, lively discussions and plenty of opportunities to practise and exchange ideas.
🚀 Fresh from their graduation, our newly certified local instructors will put their training skills straight into practice next week, co-delivering the Modern course alongside the international port expert, Capt. Fergus Britton.
We couldn't be happier with the enthusiasm, dedication and energy of this group 🙌 Their commitment marks an important step towards building local capacity and strengthening port management expertise in Kenya. A special thank you to Capt. William K. Ruto, Managing Director and CEO of the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), for his strong support and commitment to the programme, and to Irish Aid, and all our partners for making this initiative possible.
