At BBZ, we believe in using basketball to uplift underprivileged communities, develop future leaders, and empower young people to reach their full potential. 🇿🇦💛

📊 Did you know?
In South Africa:
• Nearly half of all children (49%) live below the poverty line, facing barriers to education and opportunity.
• Close to 45% of young people (ages 15–34) are not in education, employment or training — a huge challenge for their future.
• Many young learners attend under-resourced schools and lack access to enrichment activities that build confidence and resilience.

That’s why sport and education together are so powerful — helping youth stay engaged, build life skills, and expand their horizons beyond their circumstances.
Every training session is a step toward confidence.

🏀 Aidez Lee à réaliser son rêve 🇨🇭
Lee est un jeune joueur de basket-ball originaire d’Afrique du Sud.
Grâce à Bokke Ballerz, il a l’opportunité de venir à Genève pendant 3 mois pour s’entraîner et progresser.

Pour valider son visa, il doit réunir 9 000 CHF.
Sa famille ne peut pas assumer cette somme, et l’association prend déjà en charge tous les autres frais.

Today we celebrate more than just a game — we celebrate passion, teamwork, discipline, and dreams.
Basketball brings young people together, builds confidence, and opens doors far beyond the court.

This day also reminds us of the wonderful camp we shared in August in KZN — an unforgettable experience filled with hard work, learning, laughter, and love for the game.
