Giving Women is a network of women involved in philanthropy who together pool their time, knowledge, professional experience and financial assistance to support projects dedicated to women or founded by women. Our aim is to build a community of informed women philanthropists and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of girls and women in need.

What if access to support could begin with a simple conversation?

Introducing Spring ACT (Global), part of Giving Women’s 2026 cohort of Project Circles.

Spring ACT is making support for people experiencing domestic violence more accessible through Sophia – a chatbot available 24/7 to anyone seeking information, guidance or assistance.

Designed with privacy and safety at its core, Sophia connects users with relevant, localised support services without requiring a download or leaving a digital trace.

Over the coming year, a dedicated Giving Women Project Circle will bring together the expertise, experience and networks of our members to support Spring ACT in:

➤ Marketing & sales
➤ Fundraising strategy & resource mobilisation
➤ Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

This is what our Project Circles are all about: bringing people together around a shared purpose, sharing expertise and opening up connections that can contribute to long-term impact.

We look forward to sharing more from Spring ACT and its Project Circle over the coming year.

What is at the heart of women’s health in underserved communities?

We asked some of the voices joining us at the Giving Women Biennial Conference 2026.

Their answers?
Dignity. Life chances. Equality. Empowerment. A human right. Equity.

Different words, but together they speak to something fundamental: women’s health is about so much more than access to healthcare. It shapes a woman’s ability to live with dignity, exercise her rights, make choices and build her future.

GENDER AND HEALTH: HOW GENDER SHAPES HEALTH RISKS, OUTCOMES AND EQUITY

How does gender shape our health—and why do women and girls continue to experience very different health risks and outcomes?

Introducing Girls First Initiative (Tanzania) as part of Giving Women’s 2026 cohort of Project Circles.

Girls First Initiative works to help girls stay in school and healthy through scholarships, mentorship, safe spaces and digital learning, while engaging caregivers to address the barriers that can stand in the way of their education.

Through their Giving Women Project Circle, a dedicated group of our members is now working alongside the organisation to strengthen key areas that can support its development and long-term impact, including:

➤ Theory of Change
➤ Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
➤ Fundraising and resource mobilisation
➤ Organisational capacity and governance

Our Project Circles bring together the expertise, experience and networks of Giving Women members to accompany organisations working to improve the lives of women and girls.

We look forward to following Girls First Initiative and their Project Circle through the course of one year and sharing more about their journey.

Bahati Mgogwe, founder and director of Girls First Initiative, will also be taking part in our online pre-conference panel on 28 September on “Adoloscent girls’ access to health and thriving adult life”.

🎬 Join us for a special screening of the award-winning film NAWI

Giving Women is delighted to collaborate with FOTIS  to host a powerful film screening and discussion with the screenwriter, Milcah Cherotich.

NAWI tells the true and deeply moving story of a young girl determined to pursue education despite the pressures of early marriage. Through her journey, the film highlights the resilience of girls and the transformative power of education.

This event supports  students in nine countries to access secondary education, as well as Loropio Girls High School in Turkana, Kenya, a current Giving Women Project Circle.
