📢 The road to the 2026 United Nations High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR) starts now.

Tuberculosis remains the world's deadliest infectious disease and a critical test of global pandemic preparedness. Investments in TB prevention, diagnostics, treatment, research, community systems, and accountability are investments in pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.

To help shape a strong TB community contribution to the PPPR agenda, the Stop TB Partnership is convening a TB stakeholder consultation to develop key asks ahead of next week's UN Multi-Stakeholder Hearing.

We invite TB affected communities, civil society, advocates, researchers, implementers, technical partners, donors, and national programme representatives to share their perspectives and priorities.

📝 Submit your feedback through the consultation form: https://forms.gle/eYPxC43fT3mcwNgU8

📅 The consultation will remain open until Friday 5 June 2026.

Your input will help ensure that TB priorities, lessons, and innovations are reflected in global discussions on pandemic preparedness and health security.

Together, let's ensure that the 2026 PPPR High-Level Meeting recognizes that ending TB is essential to preventing and preparing for future pandemics.

Dear Colleagues, The United Nations High-Level Meeting (UNHLM) on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness And Response (PPPR) will take place in September this year, with multistakeholder hearing happening in June. While the focus of the event and the resulting Political Declaration will be primarily on p...

We Stop TB Partnership led practical, solution-oriented events during WHA79. We discussed with the Ministries of Health of India 🇮🇳, Japan 🇯🇵, Philippines 🇵🇭, and Zambia 🇿🇲, national leaders, private sector innovators—including AI companies and X-ray manufacturers and frontline implementers working in high-burden settings the opportunities and operational realities of scaling up chest X-ray and AI-enabled screening. While digital and portable X-ray technologies and AI-supported interpretation are transforming early detection of TB and other lung diseases, countries continue to face common challenges, including workforce shortages, regulatory barriers, and digital infrastructure gaps.

Key solutions discussed included task-shifting, portable imaging, AI-supported reading, and stronger public–private–implementation partnerships.

The message was clear: the tools exist—what is needed now are enabling systems and collaboration to bring them to scale and reach people affected by TB.
