Global Road Safety Partnership Delivers Continued Speed Enforcement Training in Delhi.

GRSP recently delivered Speed Enforcement Capacity Building workshops in New Delhi for officers from the Transport Department Delhi Enforcement Division (1 June) and Delhi Traffic Police (2–3 June 2026).

The sessions covered deterrence theory, the safe system approach, safe roadside operations, and manual & automated enforcement techniques, including hands-on training with TruCAM II laser speed cameras.

This builds on GRSP's five-day training with Delhi Traffic Police in February 2026, which supported the launch of the Evidence-Based Speed Enforcement Pilot Project at high-risk, high-speed locations across the city. The pilot continues in the coming months, focusing on high-visibility speed enforcement whilst measuring impact on reducing speeding and improving road safety outcomes.

🚔 Global Road Safety Partnership supports Bengaluru Traffic Police with Speed Enforcement Training.

GRSP recently delivered a two-day speed enforcement training programme with Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) on 26–27 May 2026.

Day one covered the Safe System approach, deterrence theory, and an introduction to TruCAM II laser speed cameras. Day two moved into the field with a live simulation on Bellary Road, putting skills into practice in a real roadside environment.

Officers demonstrated strong operational capability and responded positively to both the technology and the high-visibility enforcement model — with final preparations now under way for the formal launch of the Evidence-Based Speed Enforcement Pilot Project across Bengaluru.

Road safety hasn't gone away, and neither have we. 🚦

Every day, 3,260 lives are lost and 48,000 people are seriously injured on the world's roads. In our June 2026 Signpost, Global Road Safety Partnership issues a renewed call to action — urging the private sector to step up, re-engage, and help us turn the tide on one of the world's most preventable crises.

Because safer roads are everyone's responsibility.

Safer Roads Are Coming to the Mumbai–Nashik Highway.

The Highway Traffic Police, Maharashtra, has kicked off an exciting six-month pilot using camera-based speed enforcement. It’s all about keeping YOU safe on the road.

Backed by the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and the Maharashtra Highway Safety Police (HSP) through the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS), this initiative uses handheld speed laser cameras to catch speeding before it costs lives.

Speed kills. But smart, data-driven enforcement saves lives. Let's make Maharashtra's roads safer for everyone.

What a productive two days in Mexico City.

On 11 May, we delivered a Crash Securing & Investigation Training for first responders from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) Mexico City, covering professional crash scene management, evidence identification, and the importance of high-quality data collection for effective road crash reconstruction.

On 12 May, we hosted a Drink Driving Enforcement Workshop with the SSC Conduce Sin Alcohol team, exploring how enforcement approaches can be further strengthened to make Mexico City's roads safer for everyone.

Two days of rich discussions, shared knowledge, and strong commitment from all involved. It is always a pleasure working alongside experienced officers who are truly dedicated to saving lives on the road.

🚔 A great step forward for road safety in Mexico.

On 8 May 2026, we were proud to deliver the Leadership in Road Policing training workshop in Guadalajara to senior leaders of the State of Jalisco Policía Vial, including commanders and representatives of the Highway Police.

The course focused on the core principles of road policing leadership and the key risk factors affecting road safety, bringing together dedicated leaders who are committed to making a real difference.

A wonderful start to this new project phase. The energy, motivation, and shared vision in the room were truly inspiring. Here's to safer roads ahead.

Turning ideas into action in road safety 🚦

Fellows, mentors, and partners gathered in Baltimore, Maryland last week for the Global Road Safety Leadership institute (GRSLI) Fellowship Showcase & Engagement Workshop 2026. 🌍🤝

A session delivered by GRSP Global Programme Manager, Dr. Britta Lang on “Transforming Project Ideas into Reality” helped fellows think about asking the right questions, engaging the right stakeholders, using actionable data, setting realistic timelines, and planning for measurable results, in developing their project ideas. 💡
The session set a clear and practical foundation for the new cohort of the GRSLI Alumni Fellowship Program. Co-delivered by Global Road Safety Partnership and the Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit , the GRSLI Alumni Fellowship Program continues to equip road safety professionals to turn knowledge into impact, with support from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS)
