🚨 Flash flood emergency in Rasuwa, Nepal 🚨

The Nepal Red Cross Society has activated its emergency response teams, committed to immediate volunteer mobilization and dispatched relief supplies to the hardest‑hit communities.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is on standby, ready to support the National Society with critical resources and coordination.

Together we’re working fast to protect lives, evacuate vulnerable families, and restore safety along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers.

On 23 August, an attack on Kherson, Ukraine, caused a fire at a Ukrainian Red Cross Червоний Хрест України warehouse, destroying essential humanitarian supplies needed for the upcoming winter months.

The 10 August earthquake affected communities across a large part of Colombia.

In Quindío and other affected areas, the Cruz Roja Colombiana is responding, providing thousands of people with humanitarian aid, temporary shelter, physical and mental health support, and other essential services.

After more than 1,200 days of conflict in Sudan, the humanitarian story is no longer only about people fleeing violence. It is about those who chose to stay, those who couldn’t leave, and those finding the strength to start over after returning home.

As humanitarian needs continue to outpace available resources, sustained international support remains essential, not only to save lives, but to help millions of people recover, rebuild and look towards the future with dignity.

Continued funding is critical to ensure local volunteers can remain alongside communities for as long as they are needed.

The DRC Red Cross, Uganda Red Cross Society, IFRC and International Committee of the Red Cross are deeply concerned about the attacks on Red Cross volunteers and staff in several incidents over the past few days.

One hundred days after the official declaration of the Ebola outbreak, 12 volunteers have been injured, ambulances have been damaged (including one that was set on fire) and emergency response equipment has been destroyed during 11 violent incidents.

Attacks against volunteers and humanitarian personnel are unacceptable.

Preparedness saves lives.

In Bethlehem, Palestine Red Crescent society الهلال الاحمر الفلسطيني volunteers and staff joined Civil Defence personnel for an earthquake simulation exercise, practising how to coordinate and respond effectively if disaster strikes.
