El CIE expresa sus más profundas condolencias tras los devastadores terremotos en Venezuela.
El presidente del CIE, José Luis Cobos Serrano, y el director general, Howard Catton, han transmitido su más sincero pésame a la presidenta Velázquez y a la asociación, la Federación de Colegios de Profesionales de Enfermería de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.
Nos solidarizamos con la comunidad de enfermería venezolana y con todas las personas afectadas, y honramos la valentía y compasión de las enfermeras que están respondiendo en primera línea.

ICN expresses its deepest condolences following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela.
ICN President José Luis Cobos Serrano and CEO Howard Catton have conveyed their profound sympathy to President Velázquez and the National Nurses Association, the Federación de Colegios de Profesionales de Enfermería de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.
We stand in solidarity with the Venezuelan nursing community and all those affected, and honour the courage and compassion of nurses responding on the frontlines.

En el Hauptstadtkongress 2026 en Berlín, nuestro Presidente José Luis Cobos Serrano contribuyó al debate sobre el poder económico de los cuidados y la nueva definición de la enfermería del CIE.
Su mensaje fue claro:
La enfermería es un trabajo cualificado, complejo y esencial que sostiene los sistemas de salud y apoya a las economías.
Reconocer su valor ya no es suficiente - es momento de reflejarlo en cómo invertimos, lideramos y actuamos.

At the Hauptstadtkongress 2026 in Berlin, our President José Luis Cobos Serrano contributed to the discussion on the economic power of care and the new ICN definition of nursing.
His message was clear:
Nursing is skilled, complex, and essential work that sustains health systems and supports economies.
Recognising its value is no longer enough - it is time to reflect it in how we invest, lead, and act.
