2022 is coming to an end, and with it we are about to close DemocracyNet's 11th year of activity.

As always, we would like to express our gratitude to all our members - veterans and novices alike - for your contribution to the life and well-being of this community!

A heartfelt thanks to all the amazing people who have actively helped making DemocracyNet thrive and succeed this past year: to the organisers of our events, the managing board, as well as to the members who kindly take care of our task list. Running this association without your relentless dedication would be impossible, and we are glad to always be able to count on your precious support.

Many thanks to all the participants in our two-day, international workshop on «Liquid Democracy» for their contribution to a lively and insightful interdisciplinary exchange last week in Zurich.

Four scientific posters were presented by co-authors Hugo Gilbert, Rachael Colley, Théo Delemazure, as well as Jobst Heitzig, Sukmo Kim, and Christian D. Kristensen.

Nine working papers were presented by scholars Ehud Shapiro, Alois Paulin, Dimitrios Karoukis, Chiara Valsangiacomo, Alessandro Checco, Manon Revel, Ni**od Talmon, Gregory Butterworth, and Théo Delemazure.

We are glad to announce that the first interdisciplinary workshop on liquid democracy will take place at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, on Thursday, December 15 and Friday, December 16.

Junior and senior researchers are invited to apply. The workshop will also feature a public panel discussion on liquid democracy with:

• Prof. Dr. Karsten Donnay (University of Zurich),
• Prof. Dr. Bryan Alexander Ford (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne),
• Prof. Dr. Davide Grossi (University of Groningen), and
• Prof. Dr. Christina Isabel Zuber (University of Konstanz).

This public panel discussion will take place on Thursday, December 15, from 6 to 8 pm local time, at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Zurich (room AFL-F-121). More information will follow in due time.
