We’re looking for bold, diverse, and driven young leaders to join us this May and June in General Santos City and Iligan City for the 2026 Champions for Peace National Workshop on Resilience and Social Cohesion 🕊️🌍

- A young leader
- 15-30 years old (applicants aged 15-17 must have parental or guardian consent)
- Strong interest in peacebuilding, community development, and social change
- *Priority will be given to people with diverse backgrounds: from women, Muslims, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, displaced youth, and those from low-income communities

Are you a young leader committed to the advancement of democracy?

Apply now for the Kofi Annan NextGen Democracy Prize 2026, which recognises exceptional leadership shown by a young activist in defending, renewing and promoting democracy.

One winner will receive a place to attend the Athens Democracy Forum in Athens, Greece, from 29 September - 2 October, alongside 10,000 USD and one-year’s mentorship with a recognised democracy expert. The winner and nine finalists will receive the chance to attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3 - 6 November and the Athens Democracy Forum.
