IFPD designs community-owned solutions to address the needs of the most vulnerable through the implementation of an innovative and sustainable economic model focusing on social entrepreneurship. International Foundation for Population and Development (IFPD) was established in Lausanne in 1999 by a group of Swiss professionals with links to the banking, legal, academic and business communities. IFP

D's goal is to offer women and young people in developing countries a chance to participate equitably in the economic and social life of their community, with full respect for their fundamental rights. IFPD endorses the principles and activities derived from the International Conference on Population and Development (Cairo, Egypt, 1994) and the Millennium Development Goals adopted by the Member States of the United Nations in 2000.

International Foundation for Population and Development (IFPD) was established in Lausanne in 1999 by a group of Swiss professionals with links to the banking, legal, academic and business communities.
