On , we reaffirm the importance of harm reduction approaches grounded in evidence, public health, and human rights.

Around the world, punitive drug policies continue to undermine prevention and treatment efforts, contributing to preventable deaths, stigma, and barriers to care for people who use drugs.

Decades of evidence demonstrate that harm reduction services - including overdose prevention, needle and syringe programs, opioid agonist therapy, drug checking, and community-led support - are essential components of effective health systems and humane drug policies.

Scaling up harm reduction is not only a public health imperative; it is fundamental to protecting dignity and life.
