📍 At the 90th IFLA World Library Information Congress in Busan, IPA President Gvantsa Jobava participated in the session "Powering Transformation on Information & Knowledge."

During the panel, Gvantsa Jobava addressed the shared responsibility publishers and libraries hold in an era defined by rapid technological change. She focused on the vital role both sectors play in safeguarding information integrity and ensuring access to reliable, human-authored content in the age of AI.

Jobava also stressed the importance of closer cooperation between publishers and libraries, pointing to the “Trinity of Freedoms” as a positive example of how working together around shared principles can unite both communities and strengthen their collective impact. She emphasized that protecting the freedom to read, freedom to publish, freedom of expression, and academic freedom requires collaboration rather than division.

The IPA remains committed to strengthening these cross-sector partnerships and advancing shared efforts to protect access to trustworthy information and support readers worldwide.
