The final day of the FIATA World Congress 2026 brought together the last sessions, workshops and conversations shaping the future of freight forwarding and global logistics.

And as the Congress came to a close, it was time to celebrate 🥂

The Closing Ceremony marked the end of three days of insights, collaboration and networking, before guests gathered at the Museo Scienza e Tecnologia for the Gala Dinner, a special evening to celebrate FIATA’s anniversary in one of Milan’s most iconic settings. ✨

Three days. One global community. Countless ideas and connections.

Day 2 brought another packed programme to Milan, with the global freight forwarding community coming together to explore the forces shaping the future of logistics.

And as the day came to a close, the FIATA community headed to the iconic Museo Alfa Romeo for the Italian Night 🇮🇹

Guests experienced the passion and history of one of Italy’s most iconic brands before enjoying a gastronomic journey across Italy, followed by music, dancing and an evening of celebration and networking 🥂🎶

The second day of the FIATA World Congress 2026 is now in full swing!

From the Opening Session to today’s panels exploring the new supply chain landscape, multimodal corridors and the digital transformation of trade, Day 2 is tackling some of the key challenges shaping the future of global logistics.

And there’s plenty happening beyond the main sessions🔍

During the breaks, the Business Circle Stage in the Exhibition Area is bringing companies and industry experts together for a series of 15–20 minute sessions, sharing new solutions, innovations and insights on topics ranging from digitalisation and AI to freight forwarding and supply chain.

What a start! 🌟

From the first meetings of the day to the afternoon sessions, collaboration and networking were at the heart of the Congress, with professionals from across the global logistics community coming together under one roof.

And then, it was time to switch gears🥂
The day came to a close with the Welcome Reception at Allianz MiCo, where conversations continued over drinks, new connections were made and the FIATA community had the chance to enjoy the beginning of the Milan experience together.

The first day of the FIATA World Congress 2026 is bringing the global freight forwarding community together for a full programme of business meetings, working sessions and industry discussions.

From B2B engagement and FIATA working sessions to dedicated meetings across the different areas of the programme, today is focused on exchanging expertise, strengthening international collaboration and addressing the key challenges and opportunities shaping the logistics industry.

💡 Since joining ITC in 2014, Raghad has supported more than 35 countries in designing digital solutions and implementing trade facilitation reforms to modernise trade and customs ecosystems.

🌐 Her work has covered initiatives including Single Window, Risk Management, Port Community Systems, Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) programmes and automated Time Release Studies.

📊 Through these initiatives, she has contributed to streamlining trade operations, improving transparency and strengthening the efficiency and competitiveness of international trade.

🤝 Raghad also provides strategic guidance to public and private stakeholders, fostering international collaboration and developing solutions to reduce trade barriers and facilitate smoother cross-border trade.

Juan Marchetti is the Director of the Trade in Services and Investment Division at the World Trade Organization (WTO), where he has worked since joining the organisation in 2001.

💡 With extensive experience in international trade in services, Juan has contributed to negotiations, policy advice and the development of analytical tools supporting a better understanding of global services trade.

📊 He has led major initiatives including the joint World Bank–WTO Services Trade Policy Database and the Services Trade Restrictions Index (STRI), providing valuable data and analysis on trade policies around the world.

📚 An economist by training, Juan has published widely on trade in services and international economic integration, contributing to leading academic reference works and publications in the field.

🌐 His experience offers valuable perspectives on how trade policy, international economic integration and services markets shape the global business and logistics environment.
