The second day of the Islamabad Regional Dialogues "Towards Unity and Trust" has begun. This meeting is between representatives of political parties and currents, representatives of civil society, and women's rights activists from Afghanistan and Pakistan, which continues to focus on building trust, joint cooperation, and examining future political and regional prospects.

نخستین نشست منطقه‌ای در اسلام‌آباد

نخستین دور گفت‌وگوهای منطقه‌ای تحت عنوان «به‌سوی وحدت و اعتماد» امروز با حضور رهبران و نمایندگان گروه‌های مختلف افغانستان آغاز شد. این نشست به ابتکار نهاد زنان برای افغانستان (WFA) و انستیتوت ثبات راهبردی آسیای جنوبی (SASSI) برگزار گردید.
این نشست به هدف بررسی راه‌های تقویت اعتماد، همکاری منطقه‌ای و ترسیم چشم‌اندازی برای آینده سیاسی افغانستان و همچنان راه‌های اعتمادسازی و تفاهم مشترک است

On the margins of 80th UN General Assembly, September 23 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm (EST), Women for Afghanistan will be collaborating on an event on Innovating Against Exploitation: Technology, Trafficking, and Peacebuilding through Ethical AI.

First Regional Dialogue “Towards Unity and Trust” Rescheduled to Late September

Women for Afghanistan and SASSI and co-organizers announce that the first Regional Dialogue titled “Towards Unity and Trust”, originally planned for 25–26 August in Islamabad, has been rescheduled to the last week of September, the rescheduling will provide useful time required to make this important event further in-depth and comprehensive.

This important two-day dialogue will gather representatives of political civil society groups, women’s rights activists, and representative of journalist’s associations and media, both women and men, from the two sides to foster mutual understanding, strengthen coordination, and define shared principles for stability, the rule of law, and elected government by the people.

This Afghan-led and Afghan-centred dialogue with Pakistan seeks to strengthen cooperation with Pakistani civil society policy makers and academia in order to foster trust, develop people-centric approaches to regional challenges, and contribute to a dignified and lasting peace in Afghanistan.

The dialogue is the start of the Islamabad process for both nations to enhance understanding , trust, and cooperation
