Rev. Dr. Johan Vilhelm Eltvik, International President 2026/27, presents his vision for the year under the theme “Waking the Sleeping Giant with Blue Music.” The vision calls YMI to awaken its clubs and club members through fellowship, service, compassion and the power of goodness in action.

Laiju Philip, Member of YMI Mission 100 Team, gave leadership to initiate the club. ISG José Varghese and RD of Central Southern Europe Region Elfie Musil attended the charter ceremony virtually.

In 2026/27, YMI is called to awaken.

The International President’s Theme for 2026/27 is “Waking the Sleeping Giant with Blue Music”, with the slogan “YMI – Empowering Life.”

Blue Music is a symbol of love, empathy, courage, creativity, freedom, care and hope. It reminds us that goodness has power, and that our movement is strongest when clubs and club members come together through fellowship, service and compassion.

Across the world, YMI will be encouraged to bring Blue Music to life through local action, including:

• Blue Music Campfires for Change
• Intergenerational fellowship
• Action against loneliness
• Sustainability and waste reduction
• Support for Roll Back Malaria and other international programmes
• Stronger collaboration with YMCA
• Expanded community service at club level

Together, let us awaken the Sleeping Giant.

The first Conference of Central Southern European clubs of Y's Men International Region Danmark was held in Bratislava, bringing together club members from seven countries.

A wonderful opportunity for fellowship, exchange and strengthening connections across the Region.

The Y’s Men’s Club of Eastend Kochi, Mid West India Region has successfully completed the renovation of a dilapidated house for an underprivileged family in Airapuram, Ernakulam, under the humanitarian initiative “Y’s Life.”

The project restored a safe and dignified living space for Sri K.A. Sivan and his family, who had been facing severe financial and health challenges.

The 68th Regional Conference of Korea West Region and the 69th Installation of the Regional Director brought together club leaders and members for a meaningful occasion of fellowship, reflection and renewed commitment to service.

The Geneva IHQ office was pleased to welcome Teka Kebede, Charter President of the new Y’s Men’s Club of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

During his visit this afternoon, International Secretary General Jose Varghese personally presented him with the club charter certificate.
