Wonderful news from Moldova. 🐄

A couple of years ago, we offered a second cow, to another mother we’ve been helping, to support her in becoming more independent. Since then, she has been selling milk and cheese, creating a small but steady income for her family.

We have just recieved the most adorable update... her cow has given birth to a beautiful calf!

The vet has already visited and confirmed that the little one is healthy. We are so happy to see this project continue to grow and bring hope, stability, and new life.

Christmas parcels 2025 THANK YOU

Dear friends,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the Christmas parcel 2025 and for the kindness you continue to show. Even after the campaign ends, we keep thinking about you and about what you make possible.

When we first started delivering your gifts to these children—some orphans, others abandoned by one parent—we told ourselves that we hope there will come a day when we will no longer be needed. A day when no child will have to live like this. We wish we could take them all home, bring them into the warmth—real warmth.

We look at the photos again and again, and we remember the story of each child. Words are not enough to express the gratitude we feel toward you, our dear donors.
Every parcel you gave brought enormous joy—joy that is difficult to fully capture in photos. Teenagers are often the ones who avoid pictures, because social media can also be a source of bullying, and that is the last thing we would ever want for them. It is incredibly hard to be a teenager without a pair of shoes, to have to share the same pair of sneakers with your mother just to go to school.

Thank you for every package you prepared and sent. Thank you for the courage and effort of carrying these parcels, even in your airplane luggage, just to bring them to us. Please never think that a package is something small. It is a great joy. It is a seed of hope planted in the soul of a future adult.

Some of you have been with us since 2014, when this initiative first began. You trusted us. Back then, we helped just 10 children with shoes. Drop by drop, year after year, hundreds of children have received shoes and support.

Thanks to you, we were able to buy washing machines, heating boilers, and even small houses—because every child has the right to have a place called home. Children who once slept on the streets with their mothers, who were chased away, found a corner of safety and hope.
Thank you for you found donations we will be able to heat 3 famlies, a total of 20 children will sleep in warm beds this year thanks to you.

During this campaign, we heard their stories once again, and some needs are urgent. For those of you who wish to continue helping, we will share individual posts.

At this moment, we urgently want to help two families with firewood, as the children are suffering from the cold. The cost is 300 euros per family. We also need a washing machine and a refrigerator. In addition, we want to help eight children who are at risk of being evicted from the house they are renting. In two months, they must leave. We wil come back with new posts soon.

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for being hope. Thank you for the joy you bring to all of them. Enjoy the pictures as we enjoyed to deliver the gifts.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… and that means our annual initiative is officially starting! ✨

Once again, we are focusing on underprivileged children living in foster families or with their single mothers who struggle to make ends meet. Many of these families face the challenge of keeping warm and properly fed during the winter months — and your kindness truly makes a difference. ❤️

Thanks to your continuous support year after year, we are able to bring joy and hope to these children again this Christmas. THANK YOU!

Additional monetary donations are welcome and will be used in Moldova to purchase essential household items such as detergent, wood, and other much-needed supplies. 💛

🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT

This September, over 50 children were able to start school with pride — each receiving essential school supplies.

Every year, some children refuse to go to school, too ashamed of not having the basic materials they need.
This reality limits their access to education — but together, we are changing that. Thanks to the continuous support of PLP Geneva - Playgroup and Literacy Programme, we were able to make it happen again this year!

To streamline the process, we bought ready-made kits that included both the materials and a backpack.

Sourcing everything locally allowed us to:
✏️ Buy ready-made school kits meeting Moldovan school requirements
✏️ Support the local economy
✏️ Avoid transport costs
✏️Pay a lower price so we could provide even more backpack kits

Some of the children in the pictures are holding more than one backpack — they received these on behalf of their siblings, who were working in the fields at the time.

At that time, Alexandrina was in Moldova and handled the deliveries, accompanied by Cristina, our amazing Moldovan volunteer. 👩🏻

💛 Because education should never depend on access to school supplies!
