Congratulations to Alpacem Italia on achieving CSC Certification for three sites and seven ready-mix concrete plants in Italy.

This achievement marks another important milestone in Alpacem's sustainability journey, following the successful certification of its operations in Austria and Slovenia. The CSC certification independently verifies the company's performance in responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and transparent business practices across the concrete and cement value chain.

As part of the certification process, Alpacem Italia underwent an independent audit by VDZ, evaluating a broad range of sustainability criteria, including energy efficiency, CO₂ emissions reduction, occupational health and safety, biodiversity protection, stakeholder engagement, and ethical business conduct.

During a recent visit to Alpacem Italia's facilities, CSC Managing Director Tobias Laurens had the opportunity to meet the team and gain firsthand insight into the initiatives and investments supporting sustainable production and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

🏆 Heidelberg Materials Mineralik DE GmbH successfully renews CSC Gold certification for twelve sand and gravel plants in Germany

The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) is pleased to announce that twelve sand and gravel plants of Heidelberg Materials Mineralik DE GmbH have successfully renewed their CSC certification at the level Gold.

This achievement marks the third consecutive certification cycle at Gold level, demonstrating Heidelberg Materials Mineralik's long-term commitment to responsible raw material extraction and sustainable business practices.

All certified sites continue to meet the CSC's rigorous requirements across environmental, social, and governance criteria, providing independently verified assurance of responsible sourcing.

As Philipp Scheidel, Head of Performance Management at Heidelberg Materials Mineralik, noted, the recertification reflects the strong commitment and dedication of the teams on site. Vanessa Menrath, Performance Manager responsible for this year's certification process, highlighted the value of recertification as a benchmark for continuously reviewing and improving sustainability performance.

CSC certification helps increase transparency regarding the origin and extraction of mineral raw materials while supporting clients, planners, and contractors in meeting sustainability requirements for construction projects.
