WHPA is an alliance of the following global organizations:

- International Council of Nurses (ICN): a federation of over 130 national nurses associations, representing the more than 28 million nurses working worldwide.

- International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP): the global body for pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical education, representing over four million people working in pharmacy around the world.

- World Physiotherapy: the sole international voice for physiotherapy representing more than 685,000 physiotherapists worldwide, through 128 member organisations.

- FDI World Dental Federation (FDI): represents more than one million dentists worldwide, with 200 member associations in over 130 countries.

- World Medical Association (WMA): the global federation of national medical associations from around the world, directly and indirectly representing the views of more than nine million physicians.
