Spring is around the Medical Section!

A glance from the Medical Section building toward the Goetheanum reveals the early blossoms of spring—the beginning of a new cycle of the year.
This weekend at the Goetheanum, we commemorate the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s passing with a conference, an exhibition, and a variety of workshops, artistic performances, and events.
The exhibition highlights Rudolf Steiner’s life and the realization of his work across different fields. ( Exhibition language are in German and English )
We warmly invite you to join us in honoring the rich legacy of Anthroposophy in medicine and beyond.

Frühling rund um die Medizinische Sektion!

Ein Blick vom Gebäude der Medizinischen Sektion zum Goetheanum offenbart die frühen Blüten des Frühlings – und den Beginn eines neuen Jahreszyklus.
An diesem Wochenende gedenken wir im Goetheanum dem 100. Jahrestag des Todes von Rudolf Steiner mit einer Tagung, einer Ausstellung sowie einer Vielzahl von verschiedenen Workshops, künstlerischen Darbietungen und Veranstaltungen.
Die Ausstellung, die bis zum 1. Januar 2026 zu besuchen ist, beleuchtet das Leben Rudolf Steiners und die Verwirklichung seiner Gedanken und Ideen in verschiedenen Bereichen.

Der 100. Todestag Rudolf Steiners ist ein Anlass, dankbar darüber zu staunen, wie sehr seine Impulse für die Medizin heute noch hilfreich und aktuell sind - und dass sie noch immer Lösungen für die Zukunft bieten!

Dieses 18-minütige Video von ehemaligen Waldorf-Schüler führt Sie neben Besuchen einer Waldorfschule, dem Alnatura Campus Darmstadt – einem Vorbild-Ort für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften – und einem Demeterbetrieb in die Klinik Arlesheim (Schweiz), dem Ursprungsort der Anthroposophischen Medizin, wo Dr. med. Jana Siroka (anthroposophische Fachärztin für Innere Medizin und Intensivmedizin) Aspekte ihrer Arbeit erläutert.

*** SCREEN FREE TILL 3 - study on use of digital media in families published ***

Digital media have long been an omnipresent part of our everyday lives - even in young families. Dr. Silke Schwarz and a team of doctors investigated the influence of parents' use of smartphones and other screen media in a three-year study involving more than 4,000 parents from Germany. The results showed that if children under the age of 3 are frequently exposed to screen media, they are more likely to become excessive users themselves and to have an increased risk of developing emotional deficits, hyperactivity or aggressive behavior. *** “BILDSCHIRMFREI BIS 3" – Studie zum Umgang mit digitalen Medien in Familien veröffentlicht ***

Digitale Medien haben in unserem Alltag längst einen allgegenwärtigen Platz - auch in jungen Familien. Welchen Einfluss der Umgang von Eltern mit Smartphones und anderen Bildschirm-Medien hat, haben Dr. med. Silke Schwarz und ein Team von Ärztinnen und Ärzten in einer dreijährigen Studie untersucht, an der mehr als 4000 Eltern aus Deutschland teilnahmen. Es zeigte sich: Sind Kinder im Alter von unter 3 Jahren gehäuft Bildschirmmedien ausgesetzt, steigt die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass sie selbst zu exzessiven NutzerInnen werden und das Risiko für sie steigt, emotionale Defizite, Hyperaktivität oder aggressives Verhalten zu entwickeln.
