🇺🇦 Day 4. Final panel at Ukraine House Davos 2026
From Resilience to Reconstruction: What Will it Take for Ukraine’s Rebuild to Succeed

This panel examined how Ukraine can convert its wartime resilience into a lasting competitive advantage and turn available capital into real reconstruction and growth.

💬 Key insights from the discussion:

“Projects: starting from crucial needs and critical infrastructure, to actual investment in ports, the energy sector, roads. Considering no other country in the world has done this amount of reconstruction during war, we're doing quite well.” — Alona Shkrum (Альона Шкрум), First Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine

“Since 2022 we deployed $100 million in our assets, including Nikopol. I believe that this is, from our shareholding, a great demonstration of faith in the country.” — Luca Zanotti, CEO, Group Interpipe (Інтерпайп)

“It’s important for those on the ground, for those outside, for investors, for public institutions, for those providing guarantees, to all work lock step in order to mobilize capital.” — Lenna Koszarny, Founding Partner and CEO, Horizon Capital

“Ukrainian sovereign debt is around 13-14%. That's remarkable. If you think about it, for a country at war, and facing existential threat from Russia…it's quite extraordinary and incredibly encouraging.” — Timothy Ash, Senior Sovereign Strategist, RBC Bluebay Asset Management

🇺🇦 Day 4 at Ukraine House Davos 2026
Bring Ukraine’s Children Home

This panel focused on one of the most urgent humanitarian crimes of the war — the abduction of Ukrainian children — exploring the scale of forced deportations, their role in Russia’s war narrative, and why bringing children home is essential for any future peace.

The discussion also underscored the importance of international awareness, especially in the U.S., and featured a preview of “Ukraine’s Stolen Children with Meaghan Mobbs”, telling the stories of families searching for their abducted children.

💬 Key insights from the discussion:

“What we see is that the policy against Ukrainian children from the Russian Federation is not a side effect of the war. It is a part of a broader strategy, raising the identity of the youngest Ukrainians and reshaping the future of Ukraine, and combating this policy is the essence of our work.” — Maksym Maksymov, Head of Projects, Bring Kids Back UA

Eric Gebaide, Chairman and Co-Chair of the Finance Committee, Save Ukraine, Inc.; Managing Partner, IA Global Capital reflecting on Save Ukraine’s efforts, asserted that: “Whatever the future is, we're going to keep getting children out. Last year was 500. This year we're hoping for 1000.”

“Ukraine's children are abducted and taken to Russia in these camps, where they are undergoing not only pro-Russia re-education, but this militarization for kids as young as eight years old. They are being taught to assemble machine guns. These kids are learning how to be weaponized against the country that they were just abducted from.” — Paige Farrenkopf, Children’s Team Lead, Yale Humanitarian Research Lab

🇺🇦 Day 4 at Ukraine House Davos 2026
Innovating Aid With Ukraine: Global Efforts, New Solutions

The discussion explored Ukraine’s evolving role in the global community — not only as a recipient of international support, but also as a provider of scalable, evidence-based solutions, from mental health and rehabilitation to veteran care and civil society coordination, highlighting how coordinated global efforts can amplify impact.

💬 Key insights from the discussion:

“Ukraine can be a supplier to produce food for aid organizations all throughout the world. And that would really, really benefit aid.” — Michael Capponi, Founder and President, Global Empowerment Mission

Svitlana Grytsenko, Member of the Board, Victor Pinchuk Foundation, stated that the Pinchuk Foundation aimed for “concrete results for concrete people. We came deeply into the rehabilitation topic in the country. We realized that this is one of the biggest challenges now - the mental health issue.”

“Everybody has a role in sustaining Ukraine's economy, and keeping the country going, and ultimately leading to freedom for Ukraine. We feel incumbent upon us to support Ukrainians, to work with them, to learn from them, and to invest in them. We do that now by focusing on Ukrainian led organizations.” — Krystina Waler, Director of Ukrainian Initiatives, Temerty Foundation

🇺🇦 Day 4 at Ukraine House Davos 2026
Delivering Prosperity and Growth for Ukraine

The panel explored how Ukraine can turn resilience into long-term prosperity, highlighting deep reforms, EU integration, and a strengthened business climate as key drivers for investment, growth, and sustainable recovery.

💬 Key insights from the discussion:

“[In] the enlargement report, out of 68 reforms, 63 are 100% done.” — Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement

“The entire undertaking of accession to the European Union is not purely a formality or legal formality. This is a really bigger project of profound change and structural change.” — Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine

Moderated by Lenna Koszarny, Founding Partner and CEO, Horizon Capital: "And what we are trying to achieve today is to unite the public sector, to unite what has to happen. The pathway to reform. The pathway to peace - the just and sustainable peace. But also the role of EU accession in helping to drive private sector capital mobilization, and future prosperity for Ukraine."
