AO Trauma is an international community of trauma and orthopedic surgeons, musculoskeletal researchers, and operating room personnel (ORP) dedicated to improve patient care and outcomes in the field of musculoskeletal trauma. AO Trauma continues to uphold the long established and successful history of the AO Foundation. AO Trauma provides clear direction and generates and distributes knowledge through research and education programs. The organization educates and facilitates open dialogue to encourage innovation, and influences trauma and orthopedic surgery.

⏳ Final days to apply for the 2027 Stephan Perren AO Trauma Research Traveling Fellowship.

Five selected clinicians will have the opportunity to spend four weeks immersed in trauma and musculoskeletal research, learning from leading experts, gaining hands-on research experience, developing their research ideas and expanding their international professional network.

The fellowship includes:
🔬 Two weeks at a leading research center in Berlin, Zurich, or Leeds
🏔️ Two weeks at the AO Research Institute Davos
đź’ˇ Expert feedback on a translational research proposal
đź’° A travel and lodging grant of CHF 4,000 or CHF 5,000, depending on region
