We’re putting our partner organisations at the centre of our 35th anniversary celebration.

Today, we’re introducing Action for Child Social and Economic Transformation - ACSET - Uganda
Together we implement the “Get Ready, Get Healthy, Go!” project in northern Uganda, supporting vocational training students and their communities. By strengthening access to clean water and sanitation infrastructure, healthy nutrition, and practical employability skills, the project helps young people improve their health, food security, learning environment, and transition to the labour market.

Starting with the 🇰🇭 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗸 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮)
The Prek Leap New Generation Secondary and High School was one of seven partner schools in the “Sustainable Food for Thought” project. Together, we promoted playful and innovative teaching as well as sustainable food production, helping students develop knowledge and skills for their future. More than 5,300 students benefited from the project across the schools.

What began on 8 March 1991 with the ambition to bridge theory and practice – translating scientific knowledge into action and vice versa – has grown into what SA4D is today: an internationally active organisation that uses sport and play to strengthen the development of children and young people worldwide and to support sustainable future opportunities.

🤝 35 years of SA4D stand for 35 years of experience, commitment and shared impact – made possible by our local partner organisations, financial supporters, dedicated team and Foundation Board members, and all those who have accompanied us along the way.

🎉 Together, we celebrate 35 years of engagement and partnership – and continue forward with confidence, inspired by the power of sport and play.

As we approach the end of 2025, we reflect on a year in which we launched new projects and expanded and further developed existing initiatives, both nationally and internationally – always with the aim of supporting children and young people in their development. Our sport and play-based approach continued to have an impact in 2025 across a wide range of contexts, in countries throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America, as well as in Switzerland.

💚 This work would not be possible without the commitment of many people. Collaboration with our local partner organisations, as well as the support of funders and long-standing companions along the way, plays a vital role in ensuring that initiatives are implemented effectively. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this support.

🌟 We wish everyone a peaceful and reflective festive season, and a new year filled with health, confidence and positive encounters.

Zum Jahresende 2025 blicken wir auf ein Jahr zurück, in dem wir international und national neue Projekte gestartet, bestehende Angebote ausgebaut und weiterentwickelt haben – stets mit dem Ziel, Kinder und junge Menschen in ihrer Entwicklung zu unterstützen. Unser sport- und spielbasierter Ansatz zeigte auch 2025 in den unterschiedlichsten Kontexten Wirkung, sowohl in Ländern Asiens, Afrikas und Lateinamerikas als auch in der Schweiz.

💚 Diese Arbeit wäre ohne das Engagement vieler Beteiligter nicht möglich. Die Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Partnerorganisationen vor Ort sowie die Unterstützung durch Förderer:innen und Wegbegleiter:innen tragen wesentlich dazu bei, dass Initiativen wirksam umgesetzt werden können.
