Studierendenorganisation der HKB Für das erste Wirkungsjahr schreibt Kulturesk HKB-intern diverse Wettbewerbe aus.

Kulturesk vertritt die etwa 1000 Studierenden der HKB und bietet ihnen eine Plattform für Aufführungen, Konzerte, Lesungen, Ausstellungen und vieles mehr. Ein Teil davon wird an einen öffentlichen Veranstaltungsraum gebunden sein. Sie setzt sich für die Anliegen der HKB-Studierenden ein und ist Teil der BFH-Studierendenschaft (VSBFH). Das Ziel ist es, neben einer aktiven Hochschulpolitik, "den Kon

takt unter den Studierenden und dabei speziell das studentische, künstlerische und kulturelle Schaffen und Leben zu fördern.“

Dear artists and students of the HKB

On April 19, 2025, in transformation, also previously known as Kapitel and SOSO-Space, will open its doors for another impressive edition of the KULTURESK event series.
Installations, concerts, performances, readings and performances beyond the classic categories will occupy the available spaces throughout the day. The day will end with a party accompanied by DJ sets.
We will support each selected project with a fixed amount of CHF 400.00.

Key points for the entry:
- The premises are given. The artistic contribution can take place either in the club space of the former Kapitel, in the room of the former SOSO space or on the terrace. If required, the kitchen, toilets and bar area can also be discussed as performance venues.

- In principle, interdisciplinary projects are preferred. However, this is by no means an exclusion criterion.
- You are a student of the HKB.
- You are aware of the technical framework of the event and your work can be realized with the equipment of in transformation supplemented by equipment from the MediaLab.

- The submission may consist of an already completed work or a concept in development.

Who speaks? Who answers? Who listens? Who stays silent? Communication is meant to be the basis of all relationships. The audiovisual performance dia[log] explores the phenomena of translation and isolation. The signals of improvised music and generated visuals enter into a dialogue and influence each other.
The encounter of visual and auditory sensory stimuli creates an expanded space of perception, like the metamorphosis of two- to three-dimensional objects. For the harmony of the auditory and visual to go hand in hand, the synergy of both art forms is needed.

The project is an audiovisual performance that immerses the audience in the world of the writer’s thoughts. The texts and lyrical words are complemented by light projections and visuals that flow into each other before the eyes of the visitors. Visitors are invited to listen, discover, observe and let their thoughts run wild and free. Comfortable cushions make it possible to completely surrender to the experience and let go.

NeuroDrive
Performative Installation
16.05.24 Grosse Halle, Reitschule Bern

NeuroDrive is a concert-length composition that will be realized through a collective initiative at Kulturesk Festival. Inspired by the architecture of Grosse Halle, the project aims to capitalize on the unique features of the venue. Paired with vibrant lighting, it offers an impressive venue that gives off apocalyptic, sci fi, cyberpunk, street art vibes. The purpose of this project is to conceptualize Grosse Halle with all of its unique graffiti through an ensemble of musicians and live electronics within an octophonic speaker setup, projected visuals on the walls of Reitschule and lighting design within a 45 minute audiovisual performance.

IONISATION
Music, Movement and Visual Aesthetics

IONISATION combines sound, music, movement and visual aesthetics, as a way to enter inside an atomic society. Based on Edgard Varèse’s composition, the performers participate in a visual interpretation of the musical elements, exploring the interaction between body and music, and mirroring atomic particles‘ behaviour. Individuals are both unique and part of a collective group. Together, they generate fusion, stability, excitement, cohesion and reaction.

DIE HERZOG METHODE

Wie ziehen wir ein Schiff über einen Berg, mitten im Dschungel? Eine metaphorische Frage, mit der sich das Projekt aufmacht, unsere Leidenschaft und Hingabe als Kunstschaffende auf den Prüfstand zu stellen. Wie weit sind wir wirklich bereit zu gehen?
Zwei Vulkanologen, ein Skiflieger, zwei Skater und ein Kunstflug-Unglück. Das Werk des Filmemachers Werner Herzog bietet dutzende Paradebeispiele für die Bedingungslosigkeit von extremen Charakteren. Und mögliche Antworten auf die Frage: Existieren die besagten Regeln der Kunst, Methoden der Schöpfung?
