Der Zivildienst stärkt jeden Tag den sozialen Zusammenhalt in der Schweiz – in Schulen, Pflegeeinrichtungen, Umweltprojekten, sozialen Institutionen und vielen weiteren Bereichen. Genau dieses Engagement braucht es in Zeiten von Unsicherheit und Krisen.

Join the Southern African Workcamps Cooperation Caravan 2026 and take part in international volunteer camps in up to 4 countries:
Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Mozambique.

Looking back at last Sunday’s preparatory seminar in Bern with an inspiring group from all over Switzerland ✨

Together, we explored topics such as global power structures, privileges, micro-aggressions, self-care in volunteering, and the history and values of SCI through workshops and discussions.

A big thank you to everyone for your openness, reflections and active participation 💚

Anti-Fascist Volunteer Camp at Wohn- und Ferienheim Heideruh e.V. 🌲✊

This project has been around since 1926 — and turns 100 this year!
Heideruh, the anti-fascist recreation and community centre was built in 1945 by people persecuted under Na**sm and remains a place for education, remembrance, and collective action against fascism and for a more just society.

What to expect:
– Hands-on outdoor work
– Workshops & discussions on antifascism, feminism, peace & global politics
– Visit to Neuengamme concentration camp memorial
– International, intergenerational group
Focus also includes q***r perspectives, gender diversity & European refugee policies.

🌿 VOLUNTEER CAMP 2026 – ITALY

Cooperativa Sociale PANTA REI hosts an international camp at the center “Al Gallo”. People with intellectual disabilities live and work here with one clear goal: building autonomy and real social integration.

What you’ll do as a volunteer:
– Garden therapy
– Repair work & manual workshops
– Sports, excursions, games
– Daily activities and social interaction with the guests

That requires social skills, adaptability, and physical readiness — and you will learn a lot !
