À l’occasion de cette Journée internationale des dans la , le foraus est fier de publier sa nouvelle publication intitulé : « Gender Backlash in der Aussenpolitik : un contre-mouvement ». 💡

Pendant plusieurs mois, quatorze auteur·rice·s du foraus ont travaillé sur huit chapitres allant des effets de la militarisation des politiques de sécurité sur l’agenda WPS, aux biais de genre dans l’intelligence artificielle, en passant par l’intégration du genre dans les politiques climatiques.

Mit dieser Publikation setzen unsere Autor:innen ein Zeichen gegen den Gender-Backlash in der Schweizer Aussenpolitik und treiben eine inklusivere voran.

🎙️ “Can you explain that in 30 seconds?”

That was one of the challenges during our "How to speak to the media" workshop yesterday at Polit-Forum Bern.

Together, foraus members and participants practiced how to:

🗞️ Understand what journalists need,
💬 answer clearly and concisely,
🎯 stay on message,
🔄 reframe difficult questions, and
🤝 become trusted sources in public debate.

🔉Your first interview will probably not feel perfect, and that is exactly the point.

One of our foraus Policy Fellows gave their first TV interview a while ago; motivated, prepared, and genuinely excited to do it.

Afterwards came the honest reflection: the notes were never far away, and speaking freely on camera turned out to be harder than expected. But rather than a setback, it was a turning point. That interview made clear what still needed practicing, something no amount of reading could have shown them as well.

That Policy Fellow now works in a role where speaking to the media is part of everyday tasks. That first, imperfect interview gave them a head start they still value today. 💡

Media skills can be learned. foraus is running a workshop to help our members do just that. 🚀

🌍Wie behauptet sich die zwischen , und ?

🎙 Bernd Lange eröffnete den diesjährigen Tag der Aussenpolitik mit einer spannenden Analyse zur schwierigen Lage Europas in der neuen Weltunordnung. Danach diskutierten Staatssekretär Alexandre Fasel mit Nationalrät:innen Corina Gredig, Franz Grüter und Jon Pult über die Schweiz, ihre Partnerschaften und den Druck aus Washington und Peking. 🤝

Am Nachmittag luden wir zu drei Ateliers mit unseren Expert:innen ein.

💡 Take-aways:

1️⃣ Geopolitischer Sturm:
Europa braucht einen eigenen Kurs – und die Schweiz eine aktive, vorausschauende Aussenpolitik.

2️⃣ Diversifizierung zählt:
Europa bleibt zentral, doch Partnerschaften mit like-minded Staaten, China und afrikanischen Ländern sind ebenso wichtig.

3️⃣ Geoökonomie ist Realität:
Zölle, Sanktionen und Abhängigkeiten sind Machtinstrumente. Die Schweiz und Europa müssen ihre Stärken klug ausspielen.
