Did you know that disposable plastic packaging is one of the biggest sources of pollution in the world? 😱 It takes hundreds of years to break down in nature, and it harms wildlife, ecosystems, and human health. 😢

But we can make a difference by choosing eco-friendly alternatives and reducing our plastic consumption. 🌱 Here are some tips to help you ditch plastic packaging:

- Bring your own reusable bags, containers, and bottles when you shop. 🛍️
- Buy products that are packaged in paper, cardboard, glass, or metal. ♻️
- Avoid single-use items like straws, cutlery, cups, and plates. 🥤
- Support local businesses that offer package-free or refillable options. 🛒
- Make your own products at home, such as cleaning supplies, cosmetics, and snacks. 🧼

Let's support eco-friendly choices and use fewer materials that stick around for way too long to help our planet. 🥰🙌

Follow our page for more tips and inspiration on how to live a zero-waste lifestyle. 💚

Did you know that if you put 100 black ants and 100 red ants in a jar, nothing will happen?

But if you shake the jar hard, the ants start killing each other. The red ants consider the black ants their enemies, and the black ants consider the red ants their enemies. The true enemy is the one shaking the jar.

The same thing happens in human society. So, before we attack each other, we should think about who is shaking the jar!

We all have good intentions when it comes to protecting the environment, but intentions don't matter. Actions do. That's why being ethical is hard. It's not enough to say we care about the planet, we have to show it with our choices and behaviors. We have to reduce our consumption, reuse what we can, and recycle what we can't. We have to support green initiatives, policies, and businesses. We have to speak up for the voiceless and vulnerable. We have to act now, before it's too late.

If you agree with us, please follow our page and share this post with your friends. Together, we can make a difference.

New York is about to make history by using its economic power to fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. The New York Tropical Deforestation-Free Procurement Act, which would stop the state from buying wood and agricultural products that cause tropical deforestation, passed the state legislature with bipartisan support and is now waiting for to sign it.

Tropical deforestation is mainly caused by cattle ranching and livestock feed production, as well as by commodities like palm oil, wood, cocoa, coffee and rubber. It is the main threat to the diversity of life on Earth and a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. This Act would also protect the rights of Indigenous peoples and local communities who suffer from tropical deforestation. The bill has the backing of not only Indigenous leaders and climate and social justice groups, but also New York-based businesses that see this as a win-win for the state's economy, for global climate, and for human rights.

Join us in supporting this historic bill and follow .the.planet.world to learn more about how we can protect and restore tropical forests around the world. Together, we can save the planet and create a better future for ourselves and the generations to come.

Did you know that fast fashion is one of the biggest contributors to climate change? According to the UN, the fashion industry is responsible for about 10% of global carbon emissions - more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined! 😱

Fast fashion also uses a lot of water, energy, and resources, and produces a lot of waste and pollution. It dries up water sources, pollutes rivers and streams, and fills up landfills with clothes that are barely worn. It also harms the people who make the clothes, who often work in unsafe and unfair conditions for low wages. 😢

We need to rethink our consumption habits and choose more sustainable and ethical alternatives. We can buy less, buy better, and buy second-hand. We can also support brands that use organic and recycled materials, and that have transparent and fair supply chains. We can also repair, reuse, and recycle our clothes, and donate or swap them with others. 🌎

Let's join the Fashion Challenge and take action to reduce our fashion footprint. Together, we can make a difference for the planet and the people. 💚

Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.

No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your identity.

This is why habits are crucial. They cast repeated votes for being that type of person.

What kind of person do you want to be? A person who cares about the planet and its future? A person who takes action to protect the environment and fight climate change? A person who inspires others to join the cause?

If yes, then start today. Make eco-friendly choices. Reduce your waste. Support green initiatives. Share your voice. Every action counts.

Be the change you want to see in the world. Vote for yourself and the planet.

When we work together, a world with no plastic waste is possible 🙌

via /

But why is plastic waste such a big problem for our planet? Plastic pollution is the accumulation of synthetic plastic products in the environment that harms wildlife, ecosystems and human health. Every year, about 8 million tons of plastic waste escapes into the oceans from coastal nations. Plastic waste can last for hundreds of years, releasing toxic chemicals, altering habitats, and endangering marine life. Plastic pollution also contributes to climate change, as plastic production and disposal emit greenhouse gases.

We can all do something to reduce plastic waste and protect our planet. Here are some simple tips:

- Avoid single-use plastics, such as straws, bags, bottles, and cutlery. Use reusable or biodegradable alternatives instead.

- Buy in bulk and choose products with less or no plastic packaging. Bring your own containers and bags when shopping.

- Recycle your plastic waste properly and according to your local recycling services. Don't litter or burn plastic.

- Educate yourself and others about the impacts of plastic pollution and the solutions.

- Support organizations that are working to clean up and prevent plastic waste, such as .the.planet.world .

Did you know that there are more than 2,000 species that are lost to science, but not to hope? These are plants, animals and fungi that have not been seen in at least 10 years, but may still be out there, waiting to be rediscovered.

and their partners around the world are working to find them. The Search for Lost Species is the largest global quest to bring these hidden wonders back to the spotlight. Since Re:wild launched the Search for Lost Species in 2017, nine of the world’s 25 most wanted lost species have been found, in addition to dozens of others outside of this list, by Re:wild and partners.

But why is it important to find these lost species? Because rewilding is not only about restoring ecosystems, but also about celebrating the diversity of life on our planet. Rewilding can help combat climate change, restore lost species, repair degraded land and make habitats more resilient to extreme weather, experts say. Rewilding can also provide socio-economic opportunities for communities, such as ecotourism, education and cultural heritage.

Since the month of October last year, Re:wild is partnering with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Species Survival Commission, the global authority on the status of species, for the first-ever Lost Species Month. With help of conservationists, researchers, citizen scientists, local communities, and eternal optimists from around the world, the Search for is on.

Join us in this exciting adventure and follow .the.planet.world and to learn more about the amazing creatures that we are looking for. You can also visit [rewild.org] to see the full list of the lost species and how you can get involved. Together, we can rewild our planet and save the species that we love.

SAVE THE PLANET & TIMELESS PASSION SWITZERLAND

SAVE THE PLANET (STP) is the "Green Peace for Luxury". As the social and green conscience of TIMELESS PASSION SWITZERLAND (TPS), the STP brand forms a "Value Experience Network" alongside TPS.

STP is an NGO dedicated to actively protecting the environment through its commitment. The organization generates its income through profit sharing from the other TPS business branches, amounting to 5%, as well as through fundraising and donation campaigns held during TPS events. These earnings are reinvested into the establishment and expansion of protected areas through B2B collaborations with other NGOs and B2G initiatives.

SAVE THE PLANET is committed to the values and principles of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). Created in 1948, IUCN is now the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. SAVE THE PLANET wants to put its knowledge, influence and actions at the service of a more sustainable future for nature and people through information, influence and implementation.
