Hello European Study Abroad Student;

A group of European Study Abroad leaders ask your help in completing a survey for us. The survey is about the independent travel habits of semester-length students studying abroad in Europe, and links to climate impacts and sustainability. The survey is anonymous and will take 10-15 minutes to complete. We aim for responses from students studying abroad all across Europe, and the results will be presented at a conference in November.

Following the great success of our first EUASA virtual conference last year, we’re pleased to announce the Second Annual Virtual European Study Abroad Conference – September 28, 2023.

This conference will be offered free of charge. Organised by on-site staff in Europe, the conference centres and draws upon the experience of colleagues in different programs around Europe. We gladly welcome and encourage the participation of our US colleagues and invite their perspectives to engage in rich and rewarding conversation.

Note that we are asking for proposal submission by March 13, 2023. Registration for this free event will open in the summer.

Call for Presenters

We are seeking proposals for presenters or teams of presenters to join this conversation. While we do not have a set or preferred format or presentation length, we encourage interactive presentations where the audience is an active part of the session.

Proposed themes include but are not limited to:

Connecting with Students in the Digital Age
Internships:
-Challenges and Opportunities
-Artificial Intelligence in Education Abroad
-A day in the life of a study abroad program: Jack of all Trades
-Tracking students across Europe during independent travel
--Accessibility and inclusion in education abroad for those with disabilities
-Legal issues related to operating programs on site
-Developing and maintaining partnerships with EU partner universities
-Erasmus + and Erasmus Mundus programs and the possibilities for U.S. Study Abroad programs in the EU
-The History of Study Abroad Programs in Europe
-Other topics of interest (we would love to have some student perspectives)
