Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ - Day 3: Kent Farrington is FINALLY Longines FEI Jumping World Cup champion… and on home soil!

The ‘Kid from Chicago’ didn’t falter in the final round of this 2026 final. Yet his minor fault on Sunday’s first round left him in a tricky position ahead of the final round, closely followed by Germany’s Daniel Deusser, who, for his part, had recorded a string of clear rounds right up to the end of the final. After seven unsuccessful attempts, the American has finally won this coveted trophy, two years after his fourth-place finish in Riyadh (KSA) riding Greya and Toulayna. This Texan final also proved successful for the riders of the Stars and Stripes, with Katie Dinan taking third place on the podium, her first top 3 in seven appearances.

The JOC would like to congratulate all those involved in this final, and in particular the owners, including our members Françoise Sanguinetti (owner of Visconti du Telman, 5th with Kevin Staut/FRA), Barbara Roux - St Bride’s Farm (Tres Bien Z, ridden by Laura Kraut/USA), Sherri Crawford (Highway FBH, 12th ridden by Jacob Pope/USA), and Ariel Grange (Incredible, 16th ridden by Daniel Coyle/IRL).

Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ - Day1: Kent Farrington is unbeatable!

As determined as ever, the American once again dominated this second round of the Final by a mile. This time, as per the rules, he rode his other own incredible mare, Greya, one of the best in the world. Having won the final 5* Grand Prix of the Winter Equestrian Festival, the pair took a very strong lead in the race for the overall victory. Although it was likely they would retain their lead, they nearly failed to win the class, threatened by Japan’s Eiken Sato riding Chadellano JRA, owned by the Japan Equestrian Federation, who finished second – a performance that saw him climb to fourth place overall.

The other standout performance came from JOC Member Françoise Sanguinetti’s mare, Visconti du Telman, and her rider Kevin Staut. In 9th place after the first round, the pair staged a fine comeback in the standings thanks to their 3rd-place finish. They capitalised on Steve Guerdat’s fault on Iashin Sitte to close the gap on the leader (which doesn't prevent the Swiss rider from moving into second place in the overall standings).

See you on Sunday at 12 noon (local time) for the third round, in which the riders will start in reverse order of the provisional standings.

Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ - Day1: Kent Farrington takes the lead!

Widely tipped as the favourite by bookmakers worldwide, the American accomplished his mission in the first round of this Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final: to take the lead! He chose his Toulon's daughter, Toulayna, to outmanoeuvre the obstacles set out on the course by course designer Anderson Lima. He may have won, but he is closely followed by Daniel Deusser (Otello de Guldenboom) and Steve Guerdat (Iashin Sitte), both within the same second. On home soil, the Americans have made a strong start with three other riders in 3rd to 5th place (Lillie Keenan, Jacob Pope and Aaron Vale).

We would particularly like to congratulate our members whose horses are in contention ahead of the second round: Sherri Crawford (Highway FBH, ridden by Jacob Pope), and Françoise Sanguinetti (Visconti du Telman, ridden by Kevin Staut).

[RESULTS] Willem Greve wins and takes the lead of the standings!

This weekend saw the penultimate stage of the Longines FEI World Cup Show Jumping circuit take place in Gothenburg (SWE). It was the last chance for riders to pick up the final points they needed to qualify for the final, which will be held in Fort Worth (TX, USA) from 8 to 12 April 2026.

Already assured of a place in the final, Willem Greve claimed his third victory of the season after Stuttgart and A Coruña, much to the delight of the owners of his stallion Grandorado TN, Team Nijhof. Our member Charlotte Söderstrom had the pleasure of seeing her faithful H&M Indiana climb onto the third step of the podium in front of her home crowd, ridden by Malin Baryard-Johnsson. Congratulations to their team for this great performance! See you in Helsinki from 26 February to 1 March for the final stage of the 2025-2026 circuit!

[RESULTS] What a weekend in Bordeaux!

The new generation literally flew through the 2026 edition of the Longines FEI World Cup stage in Bordeaux (FRA)! On Saturday evening, 34 year old Jessica Burke (IRL) broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first woman ever to win the World Cup Grand Prix in its 46-year history. A fitting reward for this talented Irishwoman and her owner Erica Nicholas, who believed in the potential of the formidable partnership she forms with French horse Good Star du Bary.

Today, it was Martin Fuchs (SUI)'s turn to win the Audi Grand Prix (1.60m). Riding Adolfo Juri's horse, Conner Jei, the Swiss rider took his revenge after his small mistake last night. Last year, the pair won the World Cup stage here.

Hats off also to our member Geneviève Mégret for the excellent 5th place achieved by her stallion Bassano de Nantuel in Sunday's Grand Prix, ridden by Camille Condé-Ferreira (FRA). This performance is all the more remarkable given that it was the pair's very first Grand Prix at this level.

[RESULTS] Amsterdam is a success for our members!

This weekend, Amsterdam hosted a new stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup circuit. The pressure is obviously increasing as we approach the end of the 2025-2026 edition, because after the Netherlands, there will only be three stages left.

Already theoretically qualified for the final, France's Julien Epaillard was counting on his fantastic Donatello d'Auge to secure his ticket to Fort Worth, Texas. The defending champions gave their opponents no chance and won with disconcerting ease. Congratulations to our Member Susana Garcia Cereceda Epaillard, owner of the Selle Français gelding, on this latest success!

Earlier in the weekend, our Executive Committee Member Caroline Blatchford had the chance to witness some excellent performances by her horses: Vermento placed third in Friday's major event, Strike A Pose finished third on Saturday, while Gentlemen vh Veldhof placed fourth on Friday before winning Sunday's small Grand Prix, all under the saddle of Robert Whitaker. Congratulations to Caroline and Stephen Blatchford, who are sure to fall in love with the Dutch capital!

[FAREWELL] On Saturday evening, at the end of the Equita Masters CSI5*-W in Lyon (FRA), a beautiful ceremony celebrated the more than forty-year international career of French rider Philippe Rozier.

Olympic team champion at the Rio Olympics, multiple member of the French team at World and European Championships, and son of Olympic champion Marcel Rozier, Philippe has enjoyed the unconditional support of Denyse and Christian Baillet, former Chairman of the JOC, for over thirty years. It was with great emotion that the sixty-year-old rider thanked all those who have accompanied him throughout his career, particularly his loyal owners and, of course, the horses that have marked his journey. It was a powerful moment for all those who love our sport. This shows how much each stakeholder contributes to performance.
