Last Thursday was mind blowing at International Baden Toastmasters!

4 prepared speeches:

Andrea told us a story how he overcame his fear when he lost his sail, alone in the middle of the sea on his surf board.

Qiyan turned a story of a small dog becoming big to a reflection how we should take life as it comes without worrying too much.

Wioletta gave us a brilliant experience, how it will feel in the future between Rich and poor people. And why Human touch will be the most precious treasure.

Bill, as upcoming VP education, introduced us to Pathways in a dynamic speech.

We then had a selling experience as Table Topic presented by Marvin.

We had a final handover from our president Christina to our very motivated new president Daniel, already super motivated to take the club to the next level.

Ave is joining the club, big Congratulations and will be Sergent at Arms!

we are all extremely engaged to take the club to the Distinguished level in this upcoming year!

An interesting twist, impressive performances and a great audience one again at the MadCat!

Last Thursday was our Monthly meeting at International Baden Toastmasters.

It was fantastic to see our club growth momentum with many motivated speakers and new guests in the audience.

We had 4 speeches by:
👍Wioletta Simonet, The line I though I'd never crossed,
👍Daniel Mayani, Extreme Ownership,
👍Qiyan Zhou, A new lens on beauty,
👍Annika Pellegrini, You want it clean?

Congrats for those amazing speeches and to Qiyan for being awarded best speaker.

Followed a Table Topic session on Diversity, apparently a theme that can lead to long debates. João Neta made the best impression with his improvisation.

We finished the session with the evaluations, also mastered by João.

And Ended up in another international place 😅 to keep the discussions going.

Next meeting will take place on the 24th of April in Wettingen in Etzelmatt 1.

Last Thursday was contest time at Toastmasters International for the Area.

ChangeLeaders who want to improve their communication skills, stepping out of their comfort zone.

👉 Becoming a more authentic version of yourself.

On one side you have the speaking techniques and practises.

On the other side you have that personal challenge and identity shift to go through.

After a motivating introduction from Gabriel Dunkel and Allison Turner, Wioletta Simonet shared a powerful speech about the shift from the productivity, to Information, to the current Intelligent Era. Reflection on what attitude do we take into our days?

Are you a FrontSeat person?

Daniel Mayani is certainly one! He did an excellent job and mastered the Table Topic contest on the topic "The line you would never cross"🙌!

Christophe Simonet contested on the prepared speeches with the title "Déjà Vu" and got the honourable 3rd position!

Let's keep growing together and master those crucial skills!

Celebrating stories and cultures.

Yesterday International Baden Toastmasters, came to celebrate the last event of the year.

A very diverse international moment creating this atmosphere and special space.

Manuel Laesser, Thomas Schmid and Annika Pellegrini shared with us beautiful messages and ideas, motivating us to finding the essential beyond the visible, decluttering our home or Taking on the challenge of stand-up comedy.

Daniel Mayani challenged some participants to improvise around cultural topics and upcoming holidays dreams.

Always fun to hear different perspectives and twists.

Thanks for all the other participants for their special contributions, Gabriel, area director, Christophe, Wioletta, Joao, Jonas, Mauro, Azhan, Andrea, Qiyan, Allison, Angelika, and our wonderful president Christina!

And wonderful celebration diner to finish powerfully !
