This is the closing litany from our Virtual Assisi Pilgrimage, written by Fran Pratt. It speaks to the imprint of God with in us and the freedom that comes from living rooted in love. May it shape how we live, act, and serve today.

"Litany for the Imprint of God—

God, show us your ways,
So that we might know The One Whose Image We Bear,
The one whose stamp is on us,
Whose imagination brought us the natural world
Whose creativity begot the beauties of nature and humanity
Whose invites us into alignment with Love.

As Christ said: “Give to the emperor what is the emperor’s, and give to God what is God’s,”

We recognize ourselves
Our work
Our purpose
Our creativity
Our communities
As belonging to you.

For we bear your imprint upon us
Your seal upon our hearts,
Your track record of faithfulness and love over many generations,
And your creative drive to re-imagine the world.

The truth is, we belong to you
And you to us.

You bound us up in your love
From the beginning of time.

And that same love that binds us
Also frees us
To start new each day,
To work within systems in creative ways,
To explore our own depths,
To exercise our unique capabilities,
To make mistakes and begin again,
To surrender to the Divine Flow.

From this place of safety and freedom,

We'll look at themes like human dignity, power in the digital age, Franciscan economics, and peacemaking.

Our Jubilee Year series continues on Thursday, September 10 at 4pm PT / 7pm ET with “Moving Beyond Plastics in a Throwaway Culture”

Plastic pollution is harming the earth, putting vulnerable communities at risk, and impacting the future our young people will inherit. Judith Enck of Beyond Plastics will help us understand what's at stake, and how we can take action at the local and state levels. Guests from Laudato Si Center for Integral Ecology—Siena College will share how they're engaging this work through a Franciscan eco-spirituality lens in their own communities.

This week we have been at the 70th Anniversary of LCWR Assembly. It's been a lovely week of synodal listening, relationship, and laughter...and of course, tons of Franciscans! "What you hold, may you always hold. What you do, may you always do and never abandon. With swift pace, light step, unswerving feet... may you go forward securely, joyfully, and swiftly on the path of prudent happiness... so that you may offer your vows to the Most High in the pursuit of that perfection to which the Spirit of the Lord has called you." (2LAg 11b-14)

Intercessions —
All good God, to whom we seek, you for whom we long, we pray:
• Clare desired to imitate the poor Christ through a life of holy poverty — may we understand our poverty before you and trust the work of your Spirit in our lives.
• Clare brought your healing presence to those who were sick — may we bring your comfort and healing love to those who are ill among us.
• Clare founded a community of contemplative women — bless all who are called to a contemplative life and who serve through their ministry of prayer.
• As abbess, Clare served others with a gentle and firm spirit — raise up among us leaders who can nourish your life in us.

Amen.
