WHAT'S UP ADELAIDEANS!!!!
A new club at St.Adelaide School-Philippines have been established this October 25 2023. As passionate students, we have been inspired to create an organization that will provide students with the opportunity to pursue their interests while contributing positively to the school community.
The proposed club, which we have named ODEUM DE THESPIANS- a performing arts club' be dedicated to showcase not only their talent but also the art of playing in theater. Odeum De Thespians wants to hone skills of every potential artist. Our mission is to foster an environment where students can engage in a variety of activities that promote their personal growth and development.
We believe that our club will bring numerous benefits to our school community. It will serve as a platform for students who share similar interests to connect and collaborate with one another. Additionally, it will offer opportunities for members to develop leadership skills and gain valuable experience in organizing events and managing projects.
To ensure that our club runs smoothly and professionally, we have already recruited students who share our passion and are committed to upholding its values. We have also identified a faculty member who has agreed to serve as our advisor Sir Dee Jay Cabungan, providing us with guidance and support throughout our journey.
We understand that forming a new club requires adherence to all school policies and regulations. We assure you that we are committed to complying with all requirements set forth by the school administration.
Recognizing the structure/blueprint of the logo, here is some contextual information:
- The letter "T" serves as a pillar, primarily symbolizing the Thespians (members).
- Drawing inspiration from theater masks, it portrays a surprised expression rather than a sad one for the opposing character. Essentially, it embodies the emotions of ":O" and ":D". This also aims to convey that what we create in the club brings satisfaction (smile) or astonishment (surprise).
- The elements resembling hair are actually curtains on a stage, further emphasizing the focus on theatrical arts within the club.
- Additionally, theatrical symbols are incorporated as luminous marvels emanating from the top hat. This signifies that all theatrical creations and masterpieces originate from the imaginative minds of those involved in the entire production. We seek to honor their efforts by representing them with the mentioned symbols.
- The inclusion of the G clef and quill also holds significance, representing the actors and writers who contribute to a play.
