I’ve been gifted a lovely collection of Goldwell Topchic permanent hair colour (including Colorance, Opal-Essence and various shades and tones) and I’d love to put it to good use in support of Little Locks of Hope, our children’s hair loss charity.

We’ve been blessed with some beautiful donated hair recently, and it’s brought us back to why this charity exists in the first place, every child deserves to feel like themselves.

If you know a child or teen who’s losing their hair or has lost it, through illness, alopecia, treatment, or anything else, and a wig would help them feel a bit more confident, please reach out to us or send them our way. We’ll get a wig made and sent to them, no fuss, no red tape.

There are some moments in life that stay with you forever. ❤️

This little girl was struggling at school. Her needs weren’t being understood, and the stress she was experiencing had a devastating effect on her confidence and eventually contributed to her developing alopecia.

I made her a wig, completely from my own heart, because I wanted to give her something back that hair loss had taken away.

And watching her see herself with hair again for the first time was emotional for all of us. 🥹❤️

It wasn’t just about making a wig.

It was about watching a little girl’s confidence come back.

It was about supporting her family.

And it reminded me exactly why I could never completely leave the world of hair behind.

For years, hair extensions have been my craft, my career and a huge part of who I am. But as I moved into hypnotherapy and began my further training, I realised I didn’t have to choose between the two.

I could bring them together. ❤️

My vision for Little Locks of Hope has always been to help children experiencing hair losS, but I now want that support to grow even further.

In the future, alongside the wigs we create, I want to be able to offer therapeutic support to children and families who are navigating the emotional impact of hair loss, confidence, anxiety, grief and everything that can come with it.

This is something I am continuing to work towards alongside completed my training and exams, because I want to make sure that when I offer that support, I do it properly, safely and with the right qualifications behind me.

Little Locks of Hope is becoming more than wigs.

It’s becoming about the whole child and the whole family. ❤️

Because sometimes, giving a child their hair back is also about helping them find a little piece of themselves again.

Registered Children’s Hair Loss Charity

More than hair. It’s hope, confidence, and a smile. 💜

Last year, in our sanctuary, a 5-year-old girl saw herself with hair for the very first time.

She has a rare hair loss condition, her hair will never grow back. Like so many children living with hair loss, she’d learned to walk with her head down, carrying a shame no child should ever have to carry.

Her mum and dad were in the room with us. None of us will forget it.

This is why Little Locks of Hope exists. We’re not just a charity collecting donated hair from generous people around the worlD we’re growing. Now that I’m a qualified hypnotherapist, I’m building a team of volunteers to offer free hypnotherapy support to children and families living with hair loss, alongside the wigs we create.

Hair is where we start. Confidence, healing, and feeling whole agaiN that’s the real work.
