Pictorial for an Improved Traditional Poultry House known as Guri duly constructed using locally available resources. It's an inbuilt G1 structure comprising of both ground and 1st floor. The later is partitioned into 4 apartments (guriot where two are intertwined 2 in 1. Birds living in the first floor can chose where to live and take rest where the other ones can live in the ground floor. Poultry enterprises shall include teither of the following - urkeys, ducks, chckens (1 Poultry House per enterprise).

Each of the beneficiary household will then be allocated 1 pair on loan recovery basis. Upon 1st hatching, the said household must pledge to payback unkind a pair of the young ones (pullets/duckling/chick's when it reaches 1 month old. The payback will then be reallocated to another household that has be prepared, trainec and mentored by Jeggi Farmers Cooperative Society in partnership with local authority and other partners.
Special appreciation goes to the leadership of Bill Crew International, Rev. Charles Loku Losio ECS Diocese of Kajokeji, Duku Anthony James - Tearfund, Beden Nelson Directorate of Forestry Kajokeji for hands on guidance and encouragement about permaculture and re-emphasis on horticulture and agroforestry p***e. Yeah the poultry droppings contributes towards replenishing mother earth.

In lieu of the Agricultural Resilience Program for Lead Model Farmers (ARPLMF), in partnership with our partner Bill Crews International (BCI), JFCS has been able to establish an Apiary Development Program with her lead beekeepers being allocated 4 KTB Hives for each to setup an Apiary at household level. JFCS Apiary is sitted adjacent to Tabo stream and hillsides.
