HCO's mission is to work for a fully transformed for future generations community where poverty, inequality and injustice are eradicated, where orphans and vulnerable children may well live with dignity and hope for a bright future. Our vision is to have a world where orphans and other vulnerable children live with hope and dignity. HCO passed since its installation a vision and a strategy based on two pillars. The first is to bring more connection and cohesion between the different actors involved in the issue of Child Care. Second, HCO aims to expand its circle of influence by involving a variety of actors: unions and corporations; NGOs and associations of teachers; churches and other religious organizations; farmers associations and institutes of financial services; women-, human rights - development organizations. Our effort is to bring together these different actors and develop their collective power and capacity. We believe that to improve the living conditions of orphans and vulnerable children in Africa, provide immediate widespread and lasting support for vulnerable households and communities. This requires that we fight against stigma and discrimination associated with HIV, and that we ensure that these children have access to basic services on an equal basis with others and are protected against abuses. These efforts must be made now and go with the acceleration of prevention and treatment efforts. HCO'S Goals pursue the following objectives:
a) build a children's village where orphans and vulnerable children can receive an opportunity to have a bright future and where children receive accommodation, three meals a day, clothing, medical care, and educational teaching and spiritual;
b) to assist orphans and vulnerable children helpless and hopeless living in horrible conditions to overcome the obstacles that hinder their ability to achieve their goals and dreams and continue to give hope for a brighter future for the least and the lost. c) To provide long-term assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, to help them overcome the trauma and begin to rebuild their lives. HCO also contributes to the awareness generated (based on initiative), support and action for sustainable development. With emphasis on youth engagement, HCO aims to educate and strengthen their children in self-care, health, in human rights, conflict and build peace;
d) create and / or support actions in favor of children, youth, adults and families to improve their living conditions (housing, nutrition, health, education, training ...); promote or create actions to create social links for the public; to help them in their professional integration and development. e) transforming a community for future generations. Hope Center Orphanage DRC As number 1 priority, Hope Orphanage Centre initiates to build a children’s village where orphans and vulnerable children can receive an opportunity to have a bright future. We will be so excited to partner with the Church of the Brethren that desires to transform a community for future generations. Because we believe that churches and Christians help to learn about the causes and solutions to poverty and injustice. And we offer them the means to react: giving, speaking in advocacy, and in prayer. What a blessing it will be to the children and families in that region! Once completed, the village will include six homes, housing over 100 children; a primary school with six classrooms, where we will be able to teach over 400 children daily; a multi-purpose center for church meetings, indoor sports, community meetings and trainings; a clinic; and agriculture fields. It will be a refuge for so many children. HCO's mission is to work for a fully transformed for future generations community where poverty, inequality and injustice are eradicated, where orphans and vulnerable children may well live with dignity and hope for a bright future. At Hope Center Orphanage, what motivates us is a belief that the church is the solution to poverty. Inspired by the example and teaching of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:40, "Whatever you did for the least of these ... you did for me." We recognize that people are deeply interconnected needs material and spiritual, and we seek to address these needs by working with our partners around the world. The churches are at the heart of their communities - full of conscientious, resourceful people who want to make a lasting difference. Every contribution makes a huge difference and together we can continue to give hope for a brighter future for the least and the lost. At HCO we recognize that the child is a precious gift of God to his parents, a valuable companion for his brothers and sisters, the perpetuation of his family and a future for his country. This being so beautiful, so cheap and yet so fragile and must be protected to grow up in an environment conducive to their moral, spiritual, intellectual and physical development. Therefore, we call upon any natural or legal person to contribute to the limit of its availability and / or its means for these children so exposed and so vulnerable that will be men and women of tomorrow, go out of their vulnerability today. For the boarding time (dormitory) we have 55 children and we follow the other 175 vulnerable children in foster and needy families. We support sustainable and equitable development, focusing on a holistic approach, focusing on self-help, participation and empowerment of the vulnerable.
