Today, I had the privilege of facilitating a climate justice awareness session as part of Afrika Vuka Week 2026, organized by Green Rwanda Initiative (GRI).

Together with youth, community members, and local stakeholders, we explored why affordable, clean, and renewable energy is essential for building resilient communities and achieving climate justice. We discussed the challenges posed by rising energy costs and fossil fuel dependence, while highlighting practical renewable energy solutions that can transform lives across Rwanda and Africa.

The discussions reinforced a simple but powerful message: the communities contributing the least to climate change should not bear its greatest burden. Expanding access to affordable renewable energy is not only a climate solution—it is a pathway to better health, education, livelihoods, and sustainable development.

Every conversation, every action, and every voice brings us closer to an Africa powered by clean, affordable energy for all.

Let's continue advocating for policies and investments that put people first and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.
