On the eve of the departure of the African Dodgeball Confederation (CAD) delegation from Kinshasa to Abidjan, Mrs. Marie-Josiane Yao, President of the African Dodgeball Confederation, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Mr. Zabavi, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This meeting provided an opportunity for the CAD President to extend her farewell greetings and express, on behalf of the entire delegation and the Congolese Dodgeball Federation (FENADOC), her sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, continuous assistance, and diplomatic and institutional support provided since the delegation’s arrival in Kinshasa.

Thanks to the personal commitment, availability, and invaluable support of His Excellency, all activities carried out within the framework of the African Dodgeball Confederation’s official mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo were successfully conducted under excellent conditions.

To mark this special occasion, Mrs. Yao presented a symbolic gift to His Excellency as a token of appreciation, respect, and gratitude for his exemplary support and accompaniment throughout the mission.

During the meeting, His Excellency once again reaffirmed his full commitment and support by making every necessary arrangement to ensure the delegation’s safe and comfortable return journey from Kinshasa International Airport to Abidjan.

The African Dodgeball Confederation extends its heartfelt thanks to His Excellency Ambassador Zabavi and his entire team for their unwavering support, dedication, and invaluable contribution to the success of CAD’s official mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

As part of the diplomatic mission of the delegation of the African Dodgeball Confederation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an audience was granted by the Ministry of Higher Education, University, Scientific Research and Innovation (MESURSI), under the authority of Honorable Minister Prof. Dr. Sombo Ayanne Safi Mukuna Marie-Thérèse, to Mrs. Marie Josiane Yao and her delegation.

The delegation was received by Mr. Adolph Ndarabu, Advisor for Cooperation, and Mr. Franck Otete, Advisor in charge of Projects and Sports.

During the meeting, the delegation delivered a comprehensive presentation of the sport of Dodgeball, highlighting its sporting, educational, and social dimensions. Discussions mainly focused on the modalities for integrating Dodgeball into the framework of the Congo University Games, as well as the issuance of an official circular aimed at introducing the discipline within academic institutions.

Furthermore, the delegation presented the flagship D4DA project, outlining its vision, objectives, and strategic pillars. A request for collaboration was submitted to the ministry, particularly in relation to the organization of the various symposiums planned under the project.

On behalf of Honorable Minister, the Advisor for Cooperation commended the relevance and impact of the project, while expressing the ministry’s willingness to support initiatives aimed at integrating Dodgeball into universities and to accompany the D4DA project.

The meeting concluded with the symbolic presentation of a gift by the President of the Confederation to Honorable Minister.

The African Dodgeball Confederation is honored to announce the appearance of its President, Mrs. Yao Marie Josiane, accompanied by the President of the Congolese Dodgeball Federation, as well as the member of the Fabric Technical Board of the World Dodgeball Federation, Mr. Yves Koffi Patrick, on the national broadcaster Radio Télévision Nationale Congolaise (RTNC) during the program Dimanche Sport.

This appearance provided a valuable opportunity to present the ambitions for the development of Dodgeball in Africa, strengthen the visibility of this sporting discipline, and highlight the initiatives undertaken in support of FENADOC, African youth, and sports development across the continent.

The African Dodgeball Confederation extends its sincere thanks to RTNC for its warm welcome and continued commitment to promoting sports throughout Africa.

As part of its official visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the delegation of the African Dodgeball Confederation (CAD), led by its President, Mrs Marie Josiane Yao , took part in the gala match organized to officially present the Congolese national team to the authorities of the DRC as well as to the governing bodies of the CAD.

This ceremony, rich in symbolism and emotion, was marked by several speeches, notably that of Mrs. Mbaki Djama , President of Fenadoc Rdc FENADOC, as well as the particularly inspiring address delivered by the President of the African Dodgeball Confederation.

On this occasion, Mrs YAO Marie Josiane officially handed over sports equipment, including dodgeballs, to FENADOC, along with a symbolic gift reflecting the CAD’s support for the development of dodgeball in the DRC.

Held under the patronage of the National Ministry of Sports, the ceremony was also attended by the representative of the Minister, Mr. Alain Makinbu, the Minister Counselor of the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire in the DRC, the President of the Congolese Table Tennis Federation, and several other distinguished authorities, whose presence further enhanced the prestige of this major sporting event.

The event continued with an impressive presentation of the Congolese national team, followed by a gala match played in a festive, friendly, and highly emotional atmosphere. The occasion once again demonstrated the growing enthusiasm for dodgeball in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Dodgeball continues to grow across African federations that are members of the African Dodgeball Confederation (CAD).

The Liberia Dodging & Catching Federation, under the leadership of Mr. Andrew Davis, continues with determination its efforts to develop and promote dodgeball in Liberia.

As part of the preparation of the national team for upcoming regional and international competitions, Liberia is organizing friendly matches aimed at strengthening team cohesion, performance, and the experience of its athletes.

After brilliantly securing 3rd place at the 2025 African Dodgeball Cup in Abidjan, Liberia continues to demonstrate remarkable progress and a strong commitment to sporting excellence.

The African Dodgeball Confederation warmly congratulates the Liberia Dodgeball Federation for its outstanding work in promoting dodgeball in Liberia.

A dodgeball training camp was organized at the Youth House of Burj Al-Amiri Maison de jeunes Borj el aamri for the benefit of the Sports Activities Club members, under the supervision of Mrs. Hoda Haboubi and with the guidance of specialized coaches and trainers Mr. Khaled Ben Salem and Mrs. Ayda Al-Kafi.

The program combined theoretical sessions with practical exercises aimed at helping participants acquire the basic skills and techniques of dodgeball. This initiative comes as part of the effort to establish and develop a team dedicated to this sport within the Youth House.

We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the trainers for their professionalism, dedication, and excellence in coaching and mentoring. We also thank all participants for their discipline, positive attitude, and strong spirit of communication and teamwork.
