Fobeworld: Empowering Change Through Art and Sport
Founded in 2016, Fobeworld is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art and sport as catalysts for positive change. Our focus is on meeting the needs of children and advancing their rights, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where many children lack strong support structures due to the effects of violence and poverty caused by war. Through our programs, which use football and storytelling, we aim to help children and young people in the DRC stay in school, prevent sexual abuse, raise awareness about diseases like HIV/AIDS and malaria, promote mental health, peace, and social cohesion, empower communities, and prevent children and youth from being enrolled as child soldiers in armed groups.
