Fobeworld: Empowering Change Through Art and Sport

Founded in 2016, Fobeworld is a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art and sport as catalysts for positive change. Our focus is on meeting the needs of children and advancing their rights, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where many children lack strong support structures due to the effects of violence and poverty ca

used by war. Through our programs, which use football and storytelling, we aim to help children and young people in the DRC stay in school, prevent sexual abuse, raise awareness about diseases like HIV/AIDS and malaria, promote mental health, peace, and social cohesion, empower communities, and prevent children and youth from being enrolled as child soldiers in armed groups.

In Brazil, Argentina, and many other countries, football is more than a game. In DR Congo too, football means hope. Hope for a better future. Hope to overcome war and poverty. Hope to unite communities. Hope to rise above the challenges that many of our people face every day.

Today, our reminded the world of the strength, resilience, and talent of the Congolese people.

A 1-1 draw against Portugal proves that DR Congo can compete with the world’s best. It is a result that fills millions of Congolese hearts with pride and inspiration.

To our national team: thank you for your courage, determination, and commitment to representing our nation with honor. You have given our people another reason to believe and to dream.
