Through a network of educational institutions, green businesses, and community organizations, IDEAS builds on the ‘passion for change’ and provides the right training, resources and support needed for young people to enact innovative IDEAS and solve the integrated energy, environmental and economic problems in their community.

Entrepreneuriat féminin vert : semer les rêves, cultiver la résilience et protéger l'environnement.
Derrière chaque petit commerce, chaque idée en gestation, chaque activité de transformation, il y a une femme. Une femme qui rêve, qui ose, qui crée – malgré les obstacles.

Chez IDEAS For Us - DRCongo, nous croyons que l’autonomisation commence là : quand une femme transforme une idée en projet, une passion en revenu, un savoir-faire en espoir. Voilà pourquoi nous les accompagnons.

Dans un contexte sécuritaire très particulier dans l'est de la République Démocratique du Congo, contre vents et marées, IDEAS For Us-DR Congo maintient la lutte pour la protection de l'environnement et la restauration des écosystèmes dégradés.
De janvier à avril 2025, nos jeunes volontaires ont fait preuve de courage pour planter 500 arbres Markhamia sur 2,5 ha en partenariat avec le lycée Nyakavogo sur la colline de Nyakavogo dans la commune de Bagira, ville de BUKAVU en RDC.
Cette activité a visé de lutter contre les éboulements des terres sur cette colline, une menace pour la ville de BUKAVU.
La plantation des arbres est appuyée par des activités hebdomadaires de maintenance des arbres plantés dont l'entretien et la protection.
Car la protection de l'environnement est faite par l'homme pour l'homme, les membres d'IDEAS For Us-DR Congo ont fait un don d'habits à 6 enfants démunis et orphelins riverains de nos sites de plantation d'arbres.

In a very unique security context in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, against all odds, IDEAS For Us-DR Congo continues the fight for environmental protection and the restoration of degraded ecosystems. From January to April 2025, our young volunteers demonstrated their courage by planting 500 Markhamia trees on 2.5 hectares in partnership with Nyakavogo High School on Nyakavogo Hill in the commune of Bagira, in the city of Bukavu, DRC. This activity aimed to combat landslides on this hill, a threat to the city of Bukavu. Tree planting is supported by weekly maintenance activities, including upkeep and protection of the planted trees. Because environmental protection is done by man for man, members of IDEAS For Us-DR Congo donated clothes to six destitute and orphaned children living near our tree planting sites.

Ce dimanche 15 décembre 2024, nous avons célebré nos 10 ans d'existence sous le thème ''PARLONS DE NOTRE ENVIRONNEMENT APRES UNE DECENNIE D'ACTION. QUE VAUT NOTRE ENGAGEMENT ?". La journée était évidemment festive et programmatique.
A cette occasion, nous avons organisé notre assemblée générale.
Nous continuons à impacter positivement notre communauté et sommes très fiers pour ça.
Pour nos prochaines cinq années, nous activités serons structurées autour de cinq programmes. Il s'agit de :
1. REBOISEMENT ET LUTTE CONTRE LE CHANGEMENT CLIMATIQUE,
2. AGRICULTURE DURABLE ET MOYENS DE SUBSISTANCE,
3. EAU, HYGIENE ET ASSAINISSEMENT,
4. DROITS ET INCLUSION SOCIAL,
5. SENSIBILISATION ET EDUCATION ENVIRONNEMENTALE ET AU DEVELOPPEMENT DURABLE.
Le cinquième programme est transversale et nous facilitera la mise en oeuvre effective des autres programmes.

This Sunday, December 15, 2024 we celebrated our 10 years of existence under the theme ''LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT AFTER A DECADE OF ACTION. WHAT'S OUR COMMITMENT WORTH ? The day was obviously festive and programmatic.
We also held our annual general meeting.
We continue to make a positive impact on our community and are very proud of this.

For the next five years, our activities will be structured around five programs. These are :
1. REFORESTATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE,
2. SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND LIVELIHOODS,
3. WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE,
4. RIGHTS AND SOCIAL INCLUSION,
5. ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AWARENESS AND EDUCATION.
The fifth program is cross-cutting and will facilitate the effective implementation of the other programs.

Maintenance of our “Bukavu Urban Reforestation” project at Isdr-Bukavu continues. We believe in our actions and the results they produce in our society.
We've been wearing these vests for over ten years (since 2014). This anniversary will surely be celebrated this month.
Thank you to the initiators of this worldwide movement (IDEAS For Us), which is close to our hearts. Cc Chris Castro Stampar Daniel Mastaki Mugalihya.

This Saturday November 9, 2024, as part of our “Bukavu Urban Reforestation” Project, we were at the ISDR-Bukavu site/nursery.
The activity focused on the maintenance of the nursery and the transplanting of certain trees.
Our encouragement and gratitude to the members who are constantly engaged in this drive to protect our city.

Ce samedi 9 novembre 2024 nous étions, dans le cadre de notre Projet "Bukavu Urban Reforestation'' ou Reforestation Urbaine à Bukavu, au site/pépinière de l'ISDR-Bukavu.
L'activité a porté sur l'entretien de la pépinière et le repiquage de certains arbres.
Nos encouragements et notre gratitude aux membres qui s'engagent sans cesse dans cet élan pour protéger notre ville.
