Alberta has incredible trail network for diverse and inclusive recreational opportunities. We aim to ensure that management of our Alberta Public Lands are in Alberta`s interests, providing sustainable solutions and positive outcomes for present and future generations.

LYT is an awareness campaign about inclusiveness and enjoying the backcountry, and we support and promote solutions that provide positive outcomes for preserving the diversity of recreation Albertans enjoy. Exclusion is never a solution in todays society.

While recreationalist may use the trails in different ways, we all are out there to enjoy the environment. Alberta is a province of diversity, and whether backcountry enjoyment is by foot or by motor - there is solutions to preserve enjoyment of the environment for future generations with removing anyone from the landscape. There is no place for intolerance, or exclusion in todays society. Public Lands are for the Public to enjoy, responsibly.

We are promoting a unity and movement of all recreationalists to support their access to responsible enjoyment and create awareness of the pressures it is facing. We are looking for pictures and videos from recreationalists enjoying their backcountry and trails, with the activities and reasons they go. (activities on or because of the trails and access, camping, families, kids, scenery, trail pics etc ) We want to capture the experience through media, and show the incredible positive social impact all recreation has.

Bighorn and the entire eastern Slopes are under lobbyist pressure to limit it’s access and current recreation, and the numerous current activities (random camping, hunting, fishing, OHV, cultural activities, etc) that Albertans have enjoyed - and the reason for recreating on public lands vs provincial parks. Building a movement of inclusiveness and respect, will help unite and recognize the thousands of Albertans and their voices to support preserving responsible recreation instead of excluding it.

We are not for one, but for all. We support all recreational groups who provide solutions, and respect inclusiveness on the landscape.
